Fell asleep to the sound of lions roaring. Great staff in a unique setting. Very intimate and relaxing surroundings. Great food and open air bar. Camping Africa style with all the amenities of a hotel including wifi. Add on a game drive to see lions, giraffe and rhino.

I needed to stay overnight in Nairobi before continuing on a connecting flight. I almost stayed at an "airport" hotel. So grateful I did not! The Nairobi Tented Camp was an exceptional experience. They offered airport shuttle service and the ride - from the entrance (of the Nairobi National Park) near the airport to the Camp on the other side... More

I had one afternoon followed by a free day before an 11 p.m. flight out of Nairobi. The Nairobi Tented Camp was recommended as a great way to have a safari experience, but remain close to the city and airport on a tight schedule. Although this is a campsite, you are treated to a spacious and extremely comfortable room. They... More

Nairobi, the capital of Kenya , has a unique gem on its doorsteps - the Nairobi National Park. And the NNP has its own unique gem - the Nairobi Tented Camp. Spacious comfortable tents; very good food and the typical friendly and efficient service that one encounters in Kenya. All at very reasonable rates. Why stay in a city hotel... More

The most exciting way to end a fairly short stay in Nairobi. I was the only guest in this campsite in the middle of the forest, midweek, in the middle of the rainy season, and it was really special. The staff were exceptional, professional and helpful while giving me the privacy I wanted. The tent was beautifully appointed and the... More

Our second visit to Nairobi Tented, and once again we were greeted by the screeching tree hyrax "serenading" us all night--I wouldn't have it any other way! We were so fortunate to get Saruni (Andrew) as our guide again...one of our very favorite guides in all of Kenya! Clemons the manager is so nice, warm, and accomodating, and did not... More

Right in the heart of the Nairobi national park is the tented camp. After looking at the hotels in Nairobi I decided that they all looked pretty average and the I stumbled on the camp. We arrived about 7pm and saw giraffes on route. In the evening. After dark you are giving a whistle when you wish to move from... More

I usually land in Naribi and go straight out to Ol Kinyei conservancy but this time I was going to the Porini Amboseli Camp and the flight timings meant that I had to stay a night at the beginning and end of my trip at Nairobi Tented Camp. A great way to begin and end a safari and beat the... More

When I booked this diversion from my usual time spent in a downtown Nairobi hotel, it was because I wanted to avoid the horrible traffic with which the city greets it's visitors. Being 30 minutes from JKIA made it appealing. Wow, did we get a surprise? It was delightful with good game viewing (with the skyline of Nairobi in the... More

We arrived late in the evening to Nairobi airport so had booked two nights at the Nairobi Tented Camp. This gave us an opportunity to have a morning and evening safari before leaving for Meru. The tents are nice, they are in a shaded valley. The food was great and the staff was friendly. Our guide Andrew was as good... More
