The hotel is on the west bank which is more peaceful, away from the bustling crowds on the east bank. It's only a 5 EGP (about 25 cents) to cross over using the ferry, which runs about every 5 - 10 minutes. We arrived before noon and were able to get checked in, which was nice. We booked dinner most nights at the hotel, which was great, better than any of the restaurants we tried in Luxor. You need to let them know ahead of time, so they can go buy ingredients (there's no menu - you can just order what you want! - we let the chef choose what he wanted to make) Same with beer or wine -- you just need to let them know ahead of time so they can stock up. There's all sorts of nooks to have a drink before or after dinner. They have a roof top terrace with great views.

Having made a booking to eat at this hotel 12 hours in advance and having had to order the food at the time of booking we thought that we could be assured of a great evening and good meal. Nothing cold be further from the truth. We arrived on time and we were promptly taken 4 flight of stairs to the roof where they expected us to sit on the floor to eat a meal. We kindly declined and asked to sit at a normal table to eat so off we went back down the four flights of stairs to an empty dining room that had not been prepared in any way for dining guests. We sat for 40 minutes and so went to find out what was happening. No one around! Then they came with some rice and salad and a bottle of wine. Another ten minutes later our mixed grill arrived. I asked for mine and was

This hotel was a home away from home. Never felt more welcomed and at home than in this hotel. The staff was so friendly and it was a pleasure to see them every time we arrived back at the hotel. Our room was very clean and had everything you needed. The staff always left us with a fun towel animal on our bed every day. The food was great! OMG the hibiscus tea was amazing!!! Couldn't get enough of it. The location was perfect - in the country side along with the locals which was really nice. We had an amazing balcony that was nice to relax on. And the local cats! We fell in love with little Arthur! Would snuggle with us any chance he got! I will definitely be coming back here! Hands down recommend this hotel! This hotel was our absolute favorite even over expensive fancy hotels.

I spent four nights at this accomodation during my horse riding holiday and I can highly recommend it to anyone. Costas is a great host who takes great pride in his work.. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food is superb. I had a wonderful time staying at the Villa Nile House and I would certainly like to return one day!

Nile villa house From the moment we came to Nile villa house to the last day it was amazing!! The house was really nice, cozy and well decorated, small but lovely details all over the place. I loved the little tree garden they have and they use the fruit from them on daily basis, which I fould really nice. The staff there was very sweet and welcoming. I felt like I was home. They did everything they could to make your stay there as good as possible. Though I would like to add something about one staff member. There was a boy, owner's son I believe (I forgot his name) his english wasn't the best. I would like to recommend that they teach him a bit more so he wouldn't have troubles with other guests there but beside that he was really sweet and helpful to us. The food there

Excellent service, staff and food and a beautiful house. Could just stay here and chill for a few days. It has a great location at the west bank of Luxor with the village life just outside. Would definitely stay here again.

Every once in a while you somehow stumble across a little hidden gem. That is the Villa Nile House. It is the ambiance that makes it here. This is a funky kind of retro-hippy hangout, very Moroccan inspired, with stained glass windows, brightly colored doors, little decks here and there, sitting areas with pillows, candles and funky wood furniture. It is very comfortable, very laid back retro, and we have the entire place to ourselves. (late June 2018) We basically have a guy tending to our needs (Towel? Wine? Lemon water?) and a private chef preparing our dinner (fish) while we lay around the pool in the private courtyard listening to the occasional mule, rooster or call to prayer. Amazing. All this for €34 plus €5 each for dinner. OK. The owners, Hélène was not here but

Villa Nile House was the most welcoming and comfortable place I have ever stayed. All the men are so courteous and helpful. The food is amazing. I never locked my room the entire time I was there! I loved waking early and enjoying a swim and then having coffee or a fresh whipped lemon drink delivered as I emerged from the pool! I can't wait to go back!

Words cannot describe the warmth exuded by the staff at this hotel... From the moment you walk through the beautiful door, you feel at home. But better! Because they are there to make you comfortable, well-fed and happy every minute. It is a charming and friendly place. Do not expect a Four Seasons. Expect local charm, great food, surprises in your room, awesome location and views and so much more. I truly hope to visit Costa and his loyal staff again. A perfect place.
