We stayed in apartments for 10 days. The apartment was very nice, spotless clean and the staff is the best. Chef Hassan is the best cook in whole Luxor (his food tastes like he puts a lot of love in the food as a secret ingredient). And also Abdullah was very nice and whatever we needed he helped us with. I strongly recommend this place. In front of the building there is river Nile, you can have all meals on the rooftop with the best view in whole Egipt. If you come here, you won’t regret it 😀

Absolutely amazing location overlooking the Nile which is practically in your front garden. Private balcony which you can enjoy the sounds of the river and nature all hours of the day or night. Although Luxor is an incredibly busy and vibrant city you wouldn't notice it from here as it is so quiet. The apartments are huge, we stayed as just a couple but a small family could happily stay a week or more without issue. The rooms come with fridge and kitchen counters for small lunch preparation etc. Chef Mohammad is an incredibly good chef with amazing traditional egyptian skills although makes enough food for a small army per person. Abdula is an brilliant host, always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate for your every need and more. He is always smiling and laughing no matter how stressful the day may become. The other staff constantly rely on him to fix an issue which he will do immediately without complaint.

Get the name right first, because it does have one and it is called IN LUXOR and just to prove it I have taken a picture of the sign outside! Located right next to the Nile indeed the upper floors and the roof terrace give you view across the river to Luxor east with the Temple of Luxor to the right and directly in front of you is the Winter Palace. To the rear all the rooms look across towards the desert. Like most of Ramla and the surrounding area the road outside is unsurfaced and there is little traffic on it apart from a few motorbikes and donkey and carts. Just to the north less than 10 minutes walk, is the Public Ferry with a LE (Egyptian pounds) 5 to get to and fro across the river (about 22 English pence!) each way. There are a couple of good eating places on the way to the ferry as well as a ''general store'', and a couple of tourist shops which are cheaper than those on the east bank, but then you will miss out on some of Hassan's excellent traditional Egyptian cookery up on the roof terrace! I am on the ground floor on the left of the building joined on to the neighbouring building so any comment I make may not apply to other room The rooms are comfortably furnished in quite modern style, and the bed is huge, (which is pretty standard these days), and comfortable, although a couple more pillows would have been nice but this didn't worry me as I was travelling on my own so I used both of them! It was nice to see there was additional bedding as the Egyptian winter nights are quite cool. And while we are in the bedroom, a hanging rail in the enormous wardrobe would be nice too. There is aircon and TV in the lounge, neither of which I used during my stay. The ''kitchette' was a little disappointing as apart from the essential kettle and a fridge there was not a lot of other equipment apart from crockery, however this didn't worry me particularly as I tend to carry a couple of sharp knives and odds and ends (but not the kitchen sink), in my suitcase, so I was able to knock up a salad or a sandwich without too much trouble, and anyway with breakfast, lunch, and dinner available on the roof who wants to cook? Mohamed the owner is very helpful and organised a transfer from the airport although I did not see much of him as he has a shop to run, but ''the boys'' that work for him at the apartments are an absolute delight, I mentioned Hassan already, he is in charge of the kitchen and turns out some excellent dishes, he made me an excellent baked fish dish using sea bream one night when I asked if there was fish, indeed at times you almost get too much food, and his breakfasts are wonderful! Then there is Abdullah who seems to be everywhere at once and is really good at carrying suitcases! And finally another Hassan who does the cleaning to a very high standard! For me this was a ''home away from home'' because although the area is generally quiet you will here cockerels crowing, donkeys braying, and goats making the noise that goat makes, and where I live I get those noises all the time. Others might find the sounds unusual.
