My girlfriend and I stayed here last week for two nights and can highly recommend it to others. If you are looking for a hotel or high end place to stay there are plenty of other options. However if you are looking for somewhere authentic, quiet and traditional then you have come to the right place. Mohammed the guest house...

We stayed as B&B guests in April and would recommend others to do the same if they are visiting Luxor - it's a peaceful haven away from the hassle of downtown. The owner, Anne was there when we were, with no other guests (a general lack of tourists in Egypt at the moment). We had dinner together, so it had...

I visited La Maison Pythagore 'en famille', and what a truly memorable visit. The owner Thomas was on leave for the birth of his daughter, and we were looked after by his team - Moksim and his wife in the house, Mohammed coordinating our stay, and our guide Khalid (please forgive my spelling!). The house and its well tended garden...

We had a very tight schedule and needed to pack in as many of the sights in Luxor as possible, it meant for tiring days, yet this hotel...

Located in a quiet village sector in Luxor this escape is unique and memorable. The walk through the village takes you through real Egypt and its people, you then arrive at the hotel and you are welcomed into its relaxed and peaceful environment. Anne is a wealth of knowledge that you should use in planning your tours. The tours she...

My stay at The Maison De Pythagore was fabulous. My hosts, Anne and Thomas, were unbelievably kind, warm and witty. I loved being in a real Egyptian setting, a village outside of Luxor, as opposed to a hotel filled with tourists. I was invited into several neighbors' homes and felt very safe being on my own in the various villages...
