This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Luxor. It is only a few minutes away from the train station, and it is also close to shops and restaurants should you need food or water. Even though the building is a bit old, the rooms and washrooms are very clean. The sheets were clean and we were...

Booked the hostel last minute while on the train from Cairo to Luxor. Arrived late at 1030pm but hassan picked us up from the train station and we walked to the hostel which was only 2 minutes away. The alleyway looked really sketchy but the hostel was very clean when we arrived. Hussein offered us beverages upon arrival and discussed...

We had a great visit to Luxor! Nasr was welcoming, makes a delicious tea, and arranged fairly priced felucca and hot air balloon rides. We stayed in one of the 3 bed rooms. Everything was clean, with great water pressure. The hotel is a short walk to the river and temple.

2 mins walk from the train station and 2 mins walk from Luxor temple with lots of restaurants and cafes in between. Hussein has been so accommodating! We booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 4. He didnt pressure us into any tours but gave us lots of information when we asked about both tours and doing things...

I can't tell you how nice it is to stay in a hotel that feels like you're visiting a friend. Everyone in and around this hotel was as generous and easy to talk to as you would get at home. This isn't a 5 star building but it has 5 star service and location. All the tea you could drink,...

The place is in excellent location , just few steps from train and bus station of the main street! Hassan and Husein are very friendly, always with big smile on their faces. They make me feel like in home there. I would really recommend New Everest Hotel to everyone who travel on budget as this place is real bargain!!

We booked three nights but actually spent 4 nights at the New Everest Hotel and had a fine time. We stayed in a private room with bathroom. For the low price you pay, the rooms are kept clean with fresh linens and towels. They even provided us extra lines and blankets at our request. It has a great location right...

I booked for Princess Hotel, but that place is being fixed up so stayed at New Everest. I arranged for pick up at the train station; Jack was there on time (it was fun to have a person holding a sign with my name on it; that was a first. Nice to not have to haggle with a taxi or...

I'm writing this comment while I'm staying in the hotel. Though its simplicity, It is full with great warmness and hospitality. Mr Hassan & Mr. Hussien are two examples of the excellent managers. At first, when arrived in the station, I called them asking them about the way to reach the hotel. They asked me not to move and Mr....

“I don't really have much to say about the rooms as far as selection goes. It's Egypt, so... it's hot here sometimes and well, heat rises. The power goes out sometimes (a very normal thing for places that aren't in very large metropolitan places) and this might be something to consider if you get overheated easily... or have a lot of heavy bags. It's first come, first served, so you get what you get. Also, it's not a smoke-free place, so if cigarette smoke bothers you, maybe the first floor or two is too close to where people smoke pretty much all day and night. I hope that's helpful enough. It's not a schmancy place where you pay schmancy prices... so if you're looking for a really great value for your money, a good location, etc., then New Everest Hotel is for you.”
