Stayed here at the start and end of Contiki. For me my stay wasn't horrible but it wasn't pleasant either. The hotel itself just gave me an icky feeling; decor is extremely dated and old and has a creepy feel to it. Beds are extremely hard although I did sleep well minus to 5am morning pray wake up call. Breakfast... More

I'm still shocked that this hotel has such decent reviews on this site. I can't say one thing nice about this place. We arrived late at night after our flight from Frankfurt to find a pitch black hotel- the electricity had gone out. The guy at the front desk kept telling me it would be back on in 5 minutes.....30... More

We liked the sound of this hotel, it was near the train station & it was very reasonably priced. In the event our plans went haywire & we ended up spending part of two separate days in a room at the hotel. We were in desperate need of sleep & sustenance & the hotel did not disappoint. The room was... More

We stayed at Victoria hotel for 3 nights all up, 2 nights before our Contiki tour and 1 night after our Contiki tour. The staff are very friendly and go out of there way to help you out as much as they can. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good as well. They were never busy when we dined... More

We loved this place , it was old and full of soul. Location is great , staff very nice, it felt like they had been working at the hotel since it opened and they were a bit slow but it fit the hotel perfectly, so charming :-) Room was clean, we could not have slept better. Food was basic and... More

Stay here as part of a Contiki tour. Was disappointed that this day in age that the hotel did not have wifi. Situated on the famous Al Gumhuriyya, a great location, right across the Coptic Bazaar and within walking distance from the Ramses train station, this is a very convenient place to stay without many comforts but with a pleasant old-world charm. The people are helpful and friendly. The lobby is a warm retreat and the restaurant serves decent food. There is... More

My stay at the Victoria was an enjoyable one. The hotel was empty due to the current lack of tourists, but the people working in the hotel were friendly and very helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was somewhat limited, but was good. The only negatives I can mention is a lack of wi-fi... More

This well-managed classic used to welcome King George and George Bernard Shaw. Victoria Hotel is hotel is conveniently located near the station and a short walk from downtown and Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. The hotel has a certain old world charm and historic character with clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. They serve good breakfast; have Internet access room, a beautiful bar and... More

This hotel offers very simple accommodations (local TV stations, DSL internet from computer area only) in downtown Cairo. It is between Ramsis Square and Tahrir Square, with the Khan al-Khalili bazaar also close by. Not a 5-star hotel, but inexpensive and comfortable, if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay.
