Hotel was ok a bit worn out. I had to get really really insistent about speaking to the manager and nothing was resolved. If you do stay here and have booked on the Internet do check.

We stayed at this hotel through a tour package with GAP Adventures. The horrible reviews of 85% thumbs down given by patrons on the Trip Advisor website is well deserved. The entire hotel reeked pretty bad and it was not a scent that one could get used to over time. There was no hot water and not enough water pressure....

We spent one night at this hotel because it was the starting point of our tour. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews on here but in the end I feel it was an acceptable place to stay. It wasn't perfect but it was alright. One of things I appreciated about this hotel was its old...

This government run palace is simply run down. The lobby is nice, but the rooms are not so nice. The floor was covered with cigarette ashes and I showered with about 10 bugs. The bathroom is simply scary looking. That being said, for 1 night this was absolutely fine because the location is smack in downtown Cairo. If I were...

Stayed here with a small group. The lobby is nice . . . the rooms don't quite live up to the first impression. The rooms I saw were all quite small and cramped. Otherwise, the hotel is fine. My room was clean and fairly quiet. Staff was generally helpful. The hotel is located in a very walkable part of the...

We stayed at Cosmo 4 nights over the course of 2 weeks (3 different rooms). First, make sure you bring directions to get there because nobody (taxi driver, locals) seemed to know where it was located based on the address alone. This hotel is definitely old, which is part of it's charm. Elevator is quite an interesting piece of "technology"....

I felt safe in this older hotel. They even let me store luggage there for a week while I explored other cities.

My wife and I stayed at the Cosmopolitan during our vacation for two nights. I found the hotel style and decor charming at first as we had already seen some real dumps upon searching for lodging. The hotel is rated at a solid 3 stars by our guide book of Cairo. Not good but not terrible. We found our room...

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was not pleasant. The carpet leading to the hotel plus the one at the reception smelt damp and was coated with dirt. The porters demanded for a tip after lifting our luggage and also one of them implied that he had hurt his back due to lifting of the luggage...

“If you have to stay there, at least request a room without carpet.”

“Lastly if you have to stay here be careful not to stay in a room to the front of the hotel as there is a cafe over the road which has a blaring television till late at night (but little or no customers!)”
