Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights before Christmas. We arrived late in the night, got the room quickly, but the room was cold. We couldn't adjust the airconditioning to heat. So we took a spare 'felt' cover from the closet. Mornings were quite chilly. Though we got warm water after running water for some time. Our room was a...

Nice location, nice price but the rooms (particularly those with nile view) are bombarded with Cairo street noise (BEEP< BEEP BEEP) all night despite being on Zamalek, as this hotel is on a busy road junction. However if you don't mind the usual Cairo noises then this hotel is great. Breakfast is included and there is a great internet cafe...

We stayed here mainly for the location -- we have friends who live in Zamalek -- but I would go back any time. Zamalek is a relatively green and quiet part of central Cairo -- very walkable, with restaurants and boutiques and the Nile nearby. The rooms could use a little sprucing up, but they are clean and have every...

This hotel doesn't have a huge ammount of character, but is a really pleasant clean option and great value for the price. Cairo is a crazy, busy city and Zamelak is one of the quieter areas to stay. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is really good and was included in the price. There is an internet cafe...

This hotel is in such a perfect location. As a tourist I was so excited to see such a beautiful view of the Nile from my room. The hotel is close to many major attractions in Cairo. The lobby area and restaurant are elegant but the rooms could use some renovation. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it....

We chose this hotel for its location, to be close to our friend's house, and it turned out to be the best place we could have chosen. The staff were friendly and humorous, and the room was well appointed with lovely wooden furniture, and thick curtains that kept out the light. I had read revues on this site that said...

The Flamenco is the best place to stay in Cairo. It has a great location, in Zamalek, walking distance from the lively 26 July Street with its shops and restaurants, and close to the Nile, and this huge hotel has some amazing rooms - and also some less than amazing ones, although all the rooms I've stayed in there (and...

I had booked the hotel on the recommendation of a travel agent in Saudi Arabia where I live and work. I arrived by taxi from the airport - my first experience of mad Cairo driving. I was glad to get there in one piece. I had already paid for the hotel and presented the receptionist (a pleasant young woman with...

I reserved the hotel and I specified I wanted an upper floor because of the noise. At check in they gave me a first floor room. When I objected they said they had a tenth floor room free but that I would have to pay an extra USD 30 per night. If this is their normal procedure I find it...
