This hotel is located on the busy main street of Talaat Harb which makes it convenient to do some shoe shopping. The rooms are basic with nothing much to mention. However, our shower pressure was extremely low which made showering difficult. The breakfast was basic (bread, one hard boiled egg, and some juice). The hotel operators were friendly though which... The location of Luna is great. It's an easy walk to the Egyptian Museum, and lots of other sites, and our balcony looked out over Talaat Harb, a very busy street, which was neat. The room was clean, but the bathroom needed a scrubbing. It was pretty gross. I wouldn't trust them to pick you up from the airport. They... More

The Luna has that characteristic Cairo-pensione feel of faded grandeur - high ceilings, elegant brassware, and no luxuries. At the Luna, however, the staff is very pleasant, the decor is cheerful (even elegant by pensione standards), the Egyptian breakfast is tasty and massively filling, and everything is meticulously clean. The elevator works, too. The location, right on Talaat Harb within... More

Although I stayed here ages ago I'll still give some feedback. I was really really happy with staying here.. the price and quality was fantastic when compared to another place I stayed at in Cairo on the same trip. It's on the main drag, central to everything. It looks a tad scarey when you first roll up and walk up... More

Travelers , don't get me wrong. The place is clean. The staff is pushy and in other words they lie. As soon as my family arrived to the hotel, one of the young men sat with us and pushed his " special travel packages" at us. If you are traveling by yourself i guess its great to get one( although... This hotel was recommended by a fellow traveller and we found it to be great value and very clean compared with others in this price range. Nice little touchs, good breakfast and helpful staff. We had booked into the Metropolitain but decided to stay another few nights at the Luna (at our own expense!) because the former was so grubby... More

We were met at the airport as promised although our flight was 3 hours late. We stayed in the Oasis location. The room was quiet but the staff smoked everywhere so we would wake up choking around 2 am with smoke drifting into our room--the other guests did not smoke. Once we had been in Cairo for a couple of... More
