Stayed here for 5 days in April 2010, and I was happy with the place. The rooms are surprisingly big with a cable for free internet, and BBC / CNN on the television. Breakfast is adequate, and they seem to be pretty flexible about time; I wandered down about 10.30 one morning, and it wasn't a problem to eat then....

Budget Hotel in the Gangnam-Gu area close to the metrostation Cheongdam. The hotel is located in the interesting area of Gangnam. It is a budget hotel with great prices. The shower is not the best but with that price.

Close to a train line. Rooms look old, probably have never been renovated. They do a good job daily cleaning the room daily but everything looks so old that it really is in need of a renovation. Showers are not separted from the rest of the bathroom so when you shower the enitre bathroom is wet. Only stay if you...

The word "hellhole" does a fair amount of justice to describe the Tiffany Tourist "Hotel". For about $35 a night, you can find some rather reputable hostels around Seoul - particularly north of Anguk Station - that are of invariably better quality than Tiffany. She's just terrible. Check-in was easy, and the staff seemed fairly friendly, however that's where the...

Great location near the COEX and the subway. Hotel staff were friendly and most spoke English. Front desk was very helpful to a foreign traveler and wrote down names of places for me to show taxi drivers. Room itself was clean and as advertised. Suggest specifically asking for a room with internet if that's important to you as otherwise the...

This hotel was fine but difficult to find. Don't believe the transportation info on the company website or Expedia. Don't take the 6006 bus from Incheon. It doesn't drop you off by the Rivieria Hotel but instead It drops you off at the COEX Mall. Instead, take the 6010 bus from Incheon and get off at the Rivieria Hotel and...

Decent hotel. Free ethernet supplied internet in each room. Western style (though more of the European-esque) bathrooms. Right off of the Cheongdam subway station so quite accessible. There's a bus stop right outside which runs a few direct buses each day to Incheon airport for only ~$10. Never tried breakfast so can't comment. A bit dirty in the halls.... I...

Staying in Apgujeong / Cheongdam

Neighbourhood Profile
Apgujeong / Cheongdam
Aside from Sinsa / Garosugil, no other area in Seoul connotes the words “luxury” and “fancy” like Apgujeong and Cheongdam. Global luxury brands have set up their flagship stores here, catering to the neighbourhood's mostly affluent residents. It’s also one of the top areas in Korea (some say the world) for cosmetic surgery, attracting hundreds of thousands each year for a little nip or tuck. The other parts of Apgujeong and Cheongdam are mostly lavish residential buildings for some of Seoul’s most affluent alongside extravagant restaurants, bars, spas, and other spots for indulgence. And Cheongdam has long been a bastion for flashy clubs and parties, though in recent years, Itaewon has emerged as a strong challenger to those claims.
