Although there is subway, sometime we just walk along the way to access other places like Namdaemum market and Myeong-dong. It is quit near actually. The staff here are friendly and helpful. It provides most we need like simple breakfast, washing machine and...

They also provide facial wash, quality body wash & shampoo...and even provide free washing facilities. If I got chance to travel Seoul again, definately will book Suitcasers again...No regret!!

It is located in a very accessible place--train station, restaurants, shopping centers. We traveled to the hostel via train and walked a few meters. The staff is very accommodating. I emailed them about so many things--directions to the hostel, late arrival, and how to book a DMZ tour--and they answered immediately. The room for 3 was small but very functional,...

We travelled as a couple and reserved a double room with them prior to reaching korea. Our flight was delayed and we did not manage to reach at the time that we have informed the staff. In fact, we arrived at Suitcasers at around 1am, which was past their working hours. The directions they provided us was clear and succinct...

We booked it last March via Agoda. After booking, someone from the hostel will contact you to confirm your booking as well as send the directions from the airport to the their location. Well from this, you will anticipate a good service. We appreciate that they waited for us during our arrival where we were late from the arrival time...

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

“Strictly non smoking rooms. If you're a smoker, choose either 1st floor (smoke outside hostel) or 4th floor (there's a smoking area) otherwise you'll have to travel up and down the lifts. Pantry is located on 4th floor but I did not experience an increase of noise level during breakfast hours. :)”

“Ground floor is not noisy for us as there are double doors at the entrance. Once you closed all 2 doors, it create a vacuum space, hence no noise is heard inside the room.”

“Avoid the first and fourth floor if possible but it's actually pretty quiet! If there are any problems just talk to the staff they are usually very responsive”
