Do not waste your hard-earned money on this scamming hotel. It refuses to refund for a service that they never provides. I received a letter of their group and cancelled a reservation but they refuse to refund it and charged full price for 2 rooms (1 single and 1 double).

The rooms are extremely small & some rooms are without the windows which is a absolute safety issue. Price maybe cheaper than anywhere else in that area but, hotel guest beware. If you're allergic to down blankets there are no other alternatives that's all they have in the hotel.

The location is not far from the MRT station, not very far to reach other part of the city. The room is small, but you can get what you need there. The room is clean, hot water is powerful in the bathroom. There is floor heating in the room, and the quilt is so warm. The kitchen also provides places... More

This hotel is like an extended stay I guess but very small. Although small, it was very clean and had everything you needed. The staff was very helpful and even gave us water to drink as we settled in.

We were staying in the Insadong branch of this hotel. The location is perfect for its closeness to the city center and the sizzling streets, restaurants, shops and markets of Insadong. The airport bus 6002 stops 30m from the hotel, which is almost imperceptibly concealed in a narrow backstreet. Our room on the ground floor had a small window that... More

I booked two rooms for three people in each room, at the Studio Tong located at Dongmyo, but then when I arrived I was told that no rooms are available there and I must move to another franchise two subway stations away at Jongno 5 Ga which is this Hotel Tong. We were given three rooms that fit two people.... More

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station Jongno 5 ga (it takes 3 minutes from the hotel), near the airport bus stops (only 5 minutes). The hotel is very nice, designed in eco-style. They even have a small and lovely garden and a kitchen. The rooms are tiny but equipped with all the necessary amenities like a hair-dryer,... More

Staying in Gwanghwamun / Jongno

Neighbourhood Profile
Gwanghwamun / Jongno
If Gwanghwamun is the unofficial living room of Seoul, Jongno is the main hallway connecting some of Seoul’s most important historic sites and neighbourhoods. Being one of Seoul’s oldest neighbourhoods, the area is rich with history and culture in its palaces, shrines, and temples. Stand in the centre of Gwanghwamun Square with Gyeongbokgung Palace and Mt. Bugak in front of you, King Sejong the Great statue behind you, and modern office buildings encircling you—it’s one of the best ways to experience both past and present Seoul in one spot. The main street of Jongno is mostly dotted with restaurants and cafes, but explore deeper within its intricate alleys to pass decades-old restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and pojangmachas (tents that open at night for quick bites and drinks) and life seems to run just as it did a decade or two ago. Don’t forget to stop at Gwangjang Market, Korea’s oldest traditional market, where it’s just as fun to explore as it is to eat the affordable market dishes that locals have been enjoying since the market first opened in 1905. For a break from urban life, walk along the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream that runs parallel to Jongno for a moment of natural refuge in metropolitan Seoul.

“A dishonest establishment”
of 5 bubbles junhuy, 21 Jan 2016 | Read review
“We asked for a room that sleeps three. We got a double bed and twin bed side by side like one big bed with about 4 inches between. Very unique but again very clean...no complaints, just not your average hotel. The beds were hard of course but its Korea, no pillow top mattresses here. Outback Steakhouse was very close so that was our dinner for the night. The hotel lists private parking but its an annoyance to have to ask people to move their car because you can only double park.”
