It is located in best place to look around the Seoul City with great view. Huge number of trendy restaurants, bars, and shops can be found in walking distance. Also, you can jog & walk around the NamSan which is a very stylish/exoctic city area. I love this hotel, this place.

Highly recommend this hotel; great Namsan (Mt.)/ Han river view, close to Itaewon and very comfortable room. My kids really loved their Sponge Bob House and their beautiful water fountain in front of Grand ballroom

First time to this hotel find it to be friendly, attentive and efficient! The hotel looks slightly 80's but overall is clean and tidy. Rooms are not big but adequate. View from window was fantastic. Everything worked well. It was quite noisy due to neighbor's children which woke me up early.

To be honest, I was a fraction disappointed. The rooms were very small, especially the bathroom which was tiny. Agree with other people that the hotel is showing its age slightly. That's said, the staff were wonderful - very polite, helpful and professional, and I had a great massage in the spa, although it was a bit expensive. I would...

Have been to this place for more than 15 nights this year. They provide reasonably priced (200 - 205 USD / night) business travellers a good 5 star experience. The overall aura of the hotel location and the lobby lounge is unparalleled. It makes one feel like a US government official to arrive here :-) The rooms are small and...

Beautifully maintained property, the gardens are worth a stroll. Close to Itaewon and a great museum. The staff were awesome from curb to room. There have been other posts on travel sites that this hotel was showing its' age. It is older, but I disagree with the negative reviews. The hotel was clean and nicely appointed. You will not be...

Been here over 15 times. I consider this my home in Seoul. No matter how often you go and the age of this hotel, it's still impressive and the best place in Seoul. It has a charm that it's difficult to describe with words here. The lobby, the colors, the people around, everything works like a perfect orchestra. Rooms are...

A spacious hotel overlooking the centre of the city..nice view of the river on a clear day...this a comfortable rather than sumptious hotel, with good facilities and restaurants and well-sized stylish rooms with good desks, power points etc for work. Its strength lies in a charming staff and excellent service - attentive but not overbearing.. some quibbles.....no bathrobe, no turndown,...

I have attended quite a few functions at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, but recently stayed there for 4 nights on business. Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
