PROs • Steps away from Airport bus stop (Bus #6015 from Incheon) and Myeongdong Station - Exit 8 • centrally located: it’s along Myeongdong’s main shopping street (sandwiched between Lush and Etude beauty shops); ATM, forex money changer, supermarket nearby • safe, even late at night • clean bathroom and complete toiletries (booked a triple-bed western-style room) • there’s a...

Hotel is very near Myeongdong Subway station. It is right in the midst of the very busy Myeongdong shopping district, so it was very easy to get to places in Seoul. Staff comes in to empty the trash bin and change the towels daily (but not to clean up). Staff can also speak some English, so we were able to...

I've stayed at Mizo Hotel for 4 days during Easter break. The location in amazing, directly in the vibrant area of Myeondong. The room is basic: a (very) hard bed, a small desk, a small wardrobe and...almost no window. Our room had a 30cmx20 cm kind of opening/window in the wall, that's why there is a fan on the ceiling...

I cannot say enough about the location of this hotel, it is right in the heart of Myeongdong (stalls are literally open right in front of the entrance every day, Lotte Department Store, Avenuel Department Store and Shinsaege Department Store are all a few minutes walk away. The Myeongdong subway station is also 1 minute's walk away). From Incheon Airport,...

This place is all about location - once you step right out of the hotel you can literally shop right away. Everything is just in front of you. And the subway is not far away, and the hotel has an elevator just in case you had a heavy luggage. Even if you don't have a heavy luggage in the first...

Location location location.. I loved this location. Wake up and do some serious shopping. Our standard room was small, we had our 13month old in our pack and play, but it was overall very small and cozy. I wouldn't recommend if there was more than two people in a room. We didn't hear much noise from the streets below. Downsize...

Mizo Hotel is located conveniently in Myeong-Dong Area, next to Starbucks. From Incheon Airport, take Limousine Airport Bus No. 6015 to Sejong Hotel (10,000 Won). It takes about 70-80 minutes (may take longer during rush hour). After get off at Sejong Hotel, walk to the West until you see subway exit no. 6 and then turn right. Walk straight about...

We stay at this hotel for 2 nights at the Korean style room. The hotel location is good, right at MyeongDong shopping street. But the room that we stayed was rather small, and the toilet have some kind of smell. In this Korean style room, there is only a small table to put our shopping stuff. And be aware of...

Excellent location, 2 minutes from myeongdong subway. Stayed in ondol room for 3 adults. Sleeping on mattress on floor was okay for us. Just fold up the mattress day time and you have lots of space to move around. Room was clean. There was daily change of towels. Room had small fridge, tv, toiletries, hot water. The airport bus 6015...

I arrive at 2am and can't find the teeny tiny entrance to this hotel. It looks like the doorway to a small restaurant. But it is right next to Starbucks, that's already a bonus. The lobby is on the 4th floor of a building that seems to be in the middle of a busy city walkway which is so small...

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
