The Hotel Grand union chinatown is clean and comfortable with a decent breakfast. It is handy to 19th street for evening meals at all the outdoor eateries. The staff are friendly an very helpful. Most attractions are within walking distance..

we had a double room for one night and were bery satisfied. enough space, clean and the staff was incredibly helpful and polite. they helped organise bus tickets, a taxi, early breakfast and storage during the rest of our trip. good location. maybe the interior could be a bit more charming. but all in all: recommendation!

Super friendly staff English easily spoken. Breakfast mix of Asian and European. Good location in the busy Chinatown area. The city wakes up at 7am and wakes you up too. By 11pm, it's sleeping. The rooms are modern, fridges, kettle AC TV and good linen. There are two hotels named Grand Untd in close proximity easily mixed up.

Stayed here for 3 nights. 3 couples, deluxe rooms. Located in Chinatown on main road. We had rooms on floors 6, 7 & 8. 8 having a view of the Shwedagon Pagoda. Interesting view of main road, stalls & people going about their day to day city living. Old buses making lots of noise, but this is Yangon, what we...

Great staff, especially the boys downstairs who help you with your luggage and find a taxi. Breakfast is very good. The bathroom was a bit outdated and moldy. Unfortunately there was no possibility for a late check out...

The rooms were very nice and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Good location in a fascinating area of the city too. Only problem is the traffic noise ( so 3* not 4* review). I booked the best penthouse room, but it turned out to be overlooking the main road, so downgraded to a cheaper room at the back of...

It's almost located downtown. You can walk easily to the town hall. China town of yangon is very busy , nearly foul of shopping and street food. The hotel rooms are very clean, and cozy . Breakfast on roof top was served buffet style , really good ! Staff is always smiling and helpful. If you smoke you must always...

Hotel is in a good location, but it's very old and run-down looking. Dirty carpets, dirty stairwell, dirty elevators. Very uninviting looking and feeling. Never would've stayed here had our agent not booked us here. Only 2 positives: 1. Interesting market and local nightlife just outside at night 2. The rooms are pretty clean (but the bathroom is pretty small...

It is very confusing as there are two Hotel Grand United's only 2 minutes away from each other. This one is the one without the lovely rooftop restaurant. There is a roof top restaurant but it is small and cramped with minimal views. We got there on time for breakfast and the staff seemed not to be ready as the...
