We have just returned from an amazing tour of Myanmar organised for us by Dr. Zin of Myanmar Delight Tours, a Yangon travel agency. I am writing this review not as a travelogue, but to give an insight for anyone thinking of a more personal visit to Myanmar. We were not in a group so could decide for ourselves what...

An older hotel it provided basic, clean accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful and not on the lookout for tips. We walked to the fabulous Shwedagon Pagoda, the Museum and the Scott Markets (a bit far in the heat). The surrounding streets are interesting and a wander gives a real insight into life in Yangon. Try out 'Feel' Malaysian...

I stayed at a suite room at the top most 6th floor for two nights. Room are simple, clean but needs serious refurbishment. Bath room is clean nothing fancy and serve the purpose. But it has AMAZING up close view of Shwe Dagon Pagoda. This room has a small kitchenette with a rice cooker, a microwave, a pot and a...

We only stayed here as part of a package tour. The hotel is very dated and in much need of a facelift. The buffet breakfast was ok It is situated within walking distance to the Shwedagon Pagoda but a taxi ride away from most of the other tourist attractions ,shopping and dining options in Yangon.

Nice location, very close to the Shwedagon. Do book a deluxe room, the superior rooms don't have a view over the pagode (as I found out). The staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet is very good.

Getting a room in Yangon becomes very difficult. Prices are up almost every other week. Then take what you can get and be happy! The hotel needs some refurbishment, the rooms needs a more contemporary decoration. Bathroom is ok, clean but very old fashion. Restaurant is borderline. Our burmese friends have to solve the problem rapidly otherwise people will not...

I strongly recommend this hotel. I has everything the traveller could want including free wifi in the rooms. It is only a cheap taxi ride from downtown (less tha $4). I has fabulous views over the Schwedagon Pagoda - night time is amazing.

We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of our Myanmar trip. The staff is friendly, helpful and speaks English. Rooms are nice, big enough for a 2 night stay, clean, there is a TV, fridge, air-con, hot water, towels. Can't really complain. WIFI is free, stable and for Myanmar it's a stable connection and fast. The room was in...

Don't let the lobby fool you! It is modern, bright, well-lit with a contemporary furniture -- truly 5-star for Burma. Rooms are quite different. I had room 529 which looked very 1970's and I would say the decor of the room is closer to 3-star. Tiles in the bathroom had been repaired but the repairs needed repairs. The rooms need...

Stayed here as part of an Explore tour. It is quite a big hotel and a little way out of town but quiet and close to Shwedagon. There is (chargeable) wi-fi and there's a fair size pool. The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive with good selection of eastern food as well as an egg/omelette station and western food. The good...
