I stayed here for 2 nights in mid Oct 2013. The staff are very friendly and although they struggle with English they try their best to help out. The rooms are basic but clean. The beds are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, had good water pressure and no problem with hot water. Free breakfast and wifi in the...

This is a dated hotel six stories tall, probably remodeled 15 years ago. It is in the heart of the city, with a ton of business just outside the front door. The breakfast is very good. The staff are anxious to help. Although I am not sure if it is connected to the hotel, there is a massage business on...

Attentive staff always willing to help. Great location. Clean rooms. Wi-fi available in the lobby (internet was relatively fast and reliable during our two night stay) , and lobby is comfortable with leather sofas and chairs. Plenty of choice on the buffet breakfast. Like much of Yangon the building may have seen better days, and the carpets have seen some...

The room had all the basic amenities you would expect from a 3 star hotel, but you pay 4-5 star prices for a developing city ($67 / a night). The saving graces of this place place is that the service attendants strive to give good service and the location is in the heart of the city.

This hotel is certainly well situated. Close to the Bogyoke Aung San Rd markets and walking distance to most other tourist attractions. However the hotel itself is pretty old and old fashioned, but adequate for a budget hotel. Staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The breakfasts were fine and we had other meals...

The hotel is really located near by scott market and surrounding by restaurants..yes city center. I am not really impressive with the hotel myself due to its simple gray building with standard room that look a bit old..most not gonna see any view but blocked by other building but again its fair enough with the price that included breakfast. Breakfast...

The location is terrific, as others have mentioned. Most everything else is good enough for a budget hotel: friendly staff, place to make reservations and change money, ok breakfast, satisfactory room. Yangon is not the greatest city in the world for finding a hotel, so The Central is fine.

Good location, friendly people can't compensate for short-comings. The beds are so narrow, kept losing my pillow or my leg went over the side. Worst is the shower: First morning water would not get hot, they fixed that for next morning. But the shower head produced just a trickle of water, low-flow water saving shower head gone wild! I am...

Best offering this hotel has is its location in the centre of the city! Walkable distance to all the colonial sights and even Shwedagon temple if you are feeling active (20-25 min walk). Very easy to get taxis here and all the taxi drivers know it. Place is very old and run down, a little dirty, needs renovation, but with...

We stayed 5 days 4 nights in this hotel. No doubt this hotel accommodation in Yangon is expensive due to the number of available hotels are limited. But the hotel is located at a good location to scenic sites although mainly Pagodas and Scot Market. For those who are into gemstones, precious stones, there are plentiful in Scot market. But...
