Having stayed at many budget hotels throughout SE Asia this one ranks at the bottom end of the scale. From the outside entrance it appears that you are entering a very old local apartment building. Staff spoke very minimal English and was not the most welcoming. Ended up with a room on the 10th floor that appeared to have been... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location is near to Down town and China town. Taxi is quite easily available. But taxi have no meters so it is safer to check the price to your destination before catching one. Good points is that you may request for early check in and laundry is fast and cheap. The wifi... I rent a room at the 10th floor of the MGM hotel from 20 June to 1 July 2015. What I most appreciated was the friendly behaviour of the staff -at the reception, in the restaurant, the room cleaning. Because I had to visit a lot of addressen in Yangon, the location was important. From MGM I was close to... More

It is not nothing specific good or bad. But it is on the quiet road and on the downtown. Near to Bogyoke market and so on. Not many people in the hotel and it is relatively quiet. The room are ac with cable TV. Internet is usable with Burmese standard.

My first visit to Myanmar (a wonderful tourist destination) got off to a disappointing start with my stay at this hotel. The check-in area was dirty and untidy. I was dealt with by a couple of scruffy youths in stained t-shirts who only seemed interested in getting payment for the room and informing me that there would be a 3%... More

The rooms at this Hotel are OK, but nothing else works very well, the TV is fuzzy, the lifts often don't work, the Internet access dropped whenever it rained (often) and when it didn't rain. Responsiveness of staff was slow and vague, breakfast was poor. Location was average to poor.

I was here for three nights staying on the 11th floor. The hotel is quite well situated with the shops markets and restaurants about a 5 minute taxi ride away. The room was clean and I was lucky enough to have a reasonable view across to the Shwedagon Pagoda. It appears that all foreigners are put on the 8th floor and... More

The location is not far from the department store by walk. The hotel is clean and nice renovation. Breakfast buffet was good. Stuffs were very helpful. Easy to find something to eat. Lift was too old and the toilet was a little bit smelly.
