The Setting is very pleasant in a very calm part of Yangon. It feels a bit like a private home set in a garden. I was very happy with my room, whch was nicely decorated and clean. However, I think the place needs to give real efforts to maintain ist overall standard, i.e. invest in rennovations etc. It would have...

We stayed at Alamanda Inn at the beginning and at the end of our trip in Myanmar. We valued the quietness of the hotel first because of the jet lag and then because we were tired at the conclusion of our trip. We couldn't imagine staying in a hotel in the middle of Yangon traffic. But it is out of...

We stayed in Yangon for 4 days and booked the Alamanda inn following the recommendations of the lonely planet and tripadvisor. Because it was the Christmas period, at the time of booking, only the standard rooms were available for USD$110 per night. Well for that price, I can tell that it is not worth it. We have stayed in much...

We were only in Yangon for one night and this was a nice place to stay. It is tucked away in a residential neighborhood and seems to be insulated from the chaos that is Yangon. The building is older and colonial style. The rooms were large and nicely appointed to go with the era of the building. The floor was...

The food was really good and staff were nice. The rooms were small and tight. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. It had a lot of greenery around it and it was good for family and couples. The restaurant offered fantastic food.

We stayed one night in a room downstairs. The rooms are located in a old colonial building and there is a restaurant serving tasty food and very generous portions! It's a charming and quiet place where the birds' signing makes you think that you're rather in a jungle. The service is slow and not friendly though.

This is a small Inn with around 10 rooms, so it gives good intimate feeling. Attached restaurent is the main attraction. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Sound isolation can be an issue for some rooms. Staff and service very friendly.

The Inn is nothing fancy, so let's set expectation right. For a city set about 20 years back (since they just opened up), staying in a place like Alamanda Inn added authenticity to my travel. I found the neighborhood interesting as it was surrounded by Embassy and Consulate bungalows. When I was having breakfast I noticed that the owner (at...

I booked this hotel 6 weeks in advance. Having read the reviews, I asked for a room in the main building. I was assured that wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived (jetlagged), we were lead to a dark room overlooking a construction site, not in the main building. (Our room was so dark we needed a headtorch to read...

I stayed at this lovely hotel thanks to my colleagues in Yangon who put me there. It is in a residential area of the city. Offices of some UN agencies and NGOs are found in the same area, and perhaps some embassies. Some construction work was going on nearby, but once you are in the hotel premises, it is quiet....
