The Chit Sayer Hotel is a budget hotel but expensive for what it is, but as Myanmar gets more popular only expected prices will rise. Very good location in the centre of China Town and only minutes away from 19th Street where you can find numerous street food stalls. Close to 26th Street for the local market - overall a...

We stumbled upon this place because we just took the taxi from the airport and told the driver to drop us somewhere in China town. The street where this hotel is located is full of street vendors, jewellery shops and further down the corner is a small shopping mall and a market. A few blocks down is the Sule Pagoda....

Hardly a budget price but amenities were in that bracket. Internal room. Shower worked ok and it seemed clean. Restaurant food was ok. Convenient location for Chinese area and general downtown locations.

No windows, and lights so poor that I could not read did not impress. But it was clean, with friendly staff and good location, Breakfast was just about OK; one dinner eaten in was quite good though. I think I might look elsewhere should I come back to Yangon. But can I say Yangon itself is a great place to...

For Yangon, the price was decent and included breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Over-priced in the grand scheme of things though. The food at the restaurant was great and not too badly priced (great if you are exhausted after a day of exploring and can't be bothered going out to eat). The location is good, right in the middle of...

We found this gem while walking in China Town, went in for dinner and because it was so clean and busy we asked if we could see the rooms. The rooms looked fine and the cost compared to other hotels was really good for Yangon, they quoted $60 per night for a double, includes breakfast. It is in the heart...

It's not a great hotel, but it's not bad either. The rooms are simple and clean enough, you get hot water for most of your shower, and the wifi works about 30% of the time. For Myanmar, that's pretty decent. We stayed during new years and booked our hotel two months in advance, worried that there would not be availability....

The best feature of this hotel is it has a small restaurant which makes very decent food, chinese style. This proves to be very precious thing in Yangon, as it is not easy to find decent restaurants ( except in upmarket hotels) and you do not want to squat on roadside in the dark and heat as the locals. The...

The hotel is located perfectly downtown, but is still not a good choice. But ok - what can you expect from a two star hotel in Yangon? My room did not have a window, and I don't think many of them have. It was small, worn and smelly, with a dirty air conditioner. It was blood in my bed, and...

For all those people who get themselves to the other side of the planet so they can spend as little money as possible and stay as meanly and cheaply as they can, this one's for you. That is, if 38 usd for a double room is your budget. The Chit Sayar appears unique amongst Chinese-owner hostelry in this town in...
