More than I expected. A great location, lovely hosts and a very relaxing place to stay. The upstairs studio was spacious, breezy and contained everything we needed. The BBQ on the balcony was perfectly positioned to watch the sunset each evening.

Stayed for three weeks just before the busy season starts and it was wonderful. Our upper studio unit was very fresh and cleaned each day except Sunday, with towels and bedding replaced as necessary. The unit has large window with screens and when you sleep at night with all the windows open it is like sleeping outside. The hosts Brian...

Hi Alan Thank you very much, we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. We continue to hope that the road reconstruction will commence this year..... As Brian says, the roads are well sealed around the potholes!!!😜 Hope you enjoy your last few days in NZ and a safe trip home. Happy travels, Teressa & Brian

Our first encounter with this location was trying to work out being able to stay there when they were almost fully booked. Teressa was so helpful, and we were happy to split our time between the 2 bedroom cottage and the studio during our 10 day stay. We really appreciated her flexibility. When we arrived on the island, Teressa and...

Many thanks for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your time on Niue and with us. The smell in the pool was probably the bromine and the ozone gas which is what we use to sanitise the pool. The hardest thing is keeping the PH in balance especially after several days of rain. We probably have had one...

We stayed September 2016 in One Bedroom Cottage with our son. Great location for activities. Close to Hio Beach, Palaha Cave, Avaiki Cave, Limu Pools, Matapa Chasm and Talava Arches. Also enjoyed Tautu Reef, Toga Chasm and Anapala Chasm on the east. Picked up car at airport which was needed to get around and into town which was only a...

We were a group of 5 females that booked 2 cottages between us. They were very clean and quiet. There was also a pool with a shade cloth and a lovely sunset lookout spot. The managers live on site and are very helpful with any requests or information, without being at all intrusive. They also serve up some delicious pizzas...

This was my first time in Niue and I examined Trip Advisor for the best reviews and this property was the best choice. There are less than 9 bungalows but we got the last room which was a studio. We had the top floor and other had the bottom. Our room had the best view of all the rooms, a...

Many thanks for your review of Namukulu Cottages and glad you had an enjoyable and relaxing experience on Niue. We are pleased that you enjoyed our meal services. At the time of booking we only had one studio apartment left available. If we had availability in one of the other 4 cottages, we would have given you an option. Information...

Nice location, need to be independent with your transport as a wee way from town. Need to like pets (dogs) as owners have several. Overall enjoyed stay, don't expect hotel type room service as this is Niue, Island time is the order of the day which was one of the reasons for staying. Management very accommodating, nothing was a bother,...

Many thanks for your review we are happy you enjoyed your stay on Niue. Namukulu Cottages is a fully self-catering accommodation and we do not offer the same room service as a full service hotel/resort, but will still provide a room service to all cottages/apartments (bathroom, garbage, towels, floors) on a daily basis (except Sundays). Be prepared to 'rough it' - this is not luxury accommodation. sheets and mattress protector were blood stained. Bedroom was dusty and windows right above bed were thick with dirt and dead bugs.
