I stayed at Fema Lodge for almost three months in an upstairs room (with shared kitchen and bathroom). The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating and made me feel like part of the family. You get a free simple breakfast everyday (coffee/tea and cereal). The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner with all the classics plus some... More

With all the challenges faced in Kiribati such as lack of water, I felt this was a reasonable accommodation. Upon Arrival at the airport, I enjoyed a free Mini Van transfer to the Fema Lodge. I found the room to be nice and clean although decent. I took up the single room with common kitchen and shower facilities. Although sharing,... More

We had spent a few weeks on one of the outer islands and so return to South Tarawa with a comfortable bed, cold, water, and a hot shower was a very welcome prospect. We stayed in a large room in the old wing. The room was clean as was the linen and was of a standard you might expect from... More

Stayed here for a week in April 2015 in downstairs room. Very clean room and shower. Double bed soft mattress, no teabags coffee or milk provided although room equipped with small fridge and kettle. Couldnt get the tv to work. Restaurant has reasonable priced food, tasty although vegetables not fresh. Aircon and rainwater good although power and water went off... More

This was my first stay at Fema Lodge! The rooms were quite large (New Wing) bathroom is big, mattress is very soft (Each to their own but I like a firmer mattress) Room was clean fairly Spartan, and, like most hotels now, lacks lighting it was quite difficult to do work on the laptop in the restricted lighting but this... The 4 day work trip, staying at FEMA lodge was nice with the exception of an internet service that was cut off at 10 minute intervals and took 5-10 minutes to get working again. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean, the water was working without any problem. The service was great and the cook does a great job at making... More

Having stayed in probably hundreds of hotels around the world I really can't find much fault with Fema Lodge in the context of where it is. I chose a superior room which had very good A/C, was clean and tidy, comfortable bed and the food provided by the chef was perfectly adequate. The staff are also friendly and very helpful.... More

The rooms are clean. The bathrooms need to be updated, but are clean and more modern than most other choices on Tarawa. The chef is excellent. Good food from the hotel's kitchen. Very friendly staff. Location is not so good if you are visiting for business.

This is a well run friendly lodge that feels like you are staying at the coast in Australia. They are nice neat units that are semi centrally located on main road in Tarawa. The room I had was upstairs in the new building and it was clean and comfortable. It had good Airconditioning that the local staff would turn on... More
