very nice people working the reception and breakfast room. Room very clean, No central heat available for the cold Bogota nights and the water in the shower was on and off warm. they offer room service but no menu available in the room or at the reception . Firstly, I am not sure what hotel the picture shown on the Tripadvisor website is from but it is not the same Hotel Vilar America where I stayed! Funnily enough my hotel seems to be at the same address as this one but it certainly did not look remotely like the photo. there are two parts on opposite sides of...

Thanks for your comment! We are surprised to hear that you find the facade picture of the Hotel different from the real Facade. We are very carefully in advertising the reality of our services and products. We find unacceptable the incident you comment in the morning. We will take immediate action to prevent this to happen again. We are very...

Ok here's the good about this hotel. The staff. Very nice and helpful and accommodating. Here's the bad............the hotel is under construction (there are several "towers" to the hotel, one is across the street from the check in which is where we stayed). It is under construction and its LOUD and they start EARLY. After a late check in due...

Thanks for your comment! In fact we are updating all our rooms, we hope that in a very short period we are able to offer all our clients renovated rooms and better comfort. The Hotel is steps away from Zona G (gastronomical zone) and the enchanting neighborhood of "Quinta Camacho". However, there are not museums in the neighborhood. We are...

Nice modern hotel with good clean rooms, and all the modern amenities. The breakfast was very nice. Located in a nice neighborhood for walking. This is not a very tourist-y area of the city, but cabs are plentiful and cheap, and the bus is not far either.

Thanks for your comment! The Hotel is located centrally from mayor tourist attactions, but not in the tourist attractions. This neighborhood is very traditional, consolidating as the design district as young artists have their workshops in the area. Also, in this area are the freshest gastronomical proposals. However, Bogota is not an easy city, it is important to be informed...

Great location, friendly staff, clean & comfortable rooms with modern bathroom. Centrally located for seeing tourist sites and the northern part of the city. Staff helped us organize transportation to and from the airport. Beds could have been comfier, but not a problem.

This hotel meets the basic requirements. The rooms were clean and it is a great location if you want to be near stores but not the tourist central. They have a standard hotel breakfast. I recommend it for a night in bogota, but not an extended stay.

I'm really not sure why people have given this hotel mediocre reviews because it was just what I needed. My room was actually bigger than my apartment back home. The hotel was so clean you could have eaten off the floor on any given day. People's assertion that "NO ONE" at the front desk spoke English is complete bollacks! At...

We stayed 4 nights and had no major problems. The staff didn't speak any English but was friendly. They were helpful when the hair dryer in our room broke and they immediately got us a new one. The buffet breakfast is medriocre with some scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, and juice/coffee. The room was good but had no air conditioner...

Thanks for your comments! We are working on our English to better serve our clients. In Bogota, with the average temperature of 15C, there is o culture of having air condition. However, at night temperature can get as low as 0C, so we do have heaters available upon request. We will check what could happen with your request of transportation,...

We stayed here for three nights. We came here from the airport late in the night - the area seemed really scary and unpeaceful. Actually the hotel is located to a wealthy area and there are huge malls a 20 to 30 minutes walk away. It's pretty safe to walk outside when it's dark. There are great restaurants near by,...
