This is worst hostel I have even been. First they let me down at the aiport: my transfer doesn't show up and after I call them, they let me know to wait and they will call me back. They don't call back and I make another call only to hear to take a taxi. The taxi cost me 60.000 pesos...

Three basic things I hope for at a hostal: good bed, shower and kitchen. The thin mattress is covered in plastic (to make sure if you should fall asleep even though the doorbell is going all night , you wake up when you or someone else in the bunk bed turn over). The 1 shower is, of course, very often...

This hostel is a little hidden, but really nice and very safe. The staff don't know english very well, but I still was able to communicate what I needed. The rooms were comfortable and the common area was really nice. Very clean and nice looking. Lockers were outside the rooms and breakfast is included (but you need to ask it...

I’ve stayed at the Tip Top backpackers for a week now. I have had a pleasant experience here. The hostel is in a good location, in the historical district of downtown Bogotá called the Candelaria. In walking distance of many museums, restaurants and bars. The hostel offers a safe and comfortable environment. It has great security, keeping the door locked...

We were delighted to book a room in this hostel based on the internet reviews ! However, after two nights there, we do not understand how the rates can be so great. Yes, the location is great, the family is very friendly and helpful and the price is nice. However, the six-beds dorms (two 3-stories beds) are tiny (luckily we...

This is a nice hostel in the historic Candelaria, thus within close (walking distance) to many attractions in the center of Bogota. The hostel is built from an old colonial type house, and thus has an open courtyard (with a clear roof) and rooms that branch-off from it.The owners are friendly and helpful, the hostel is clean and comfortable and...

We stayed in this hostel for few days and explore the centro historico which is walk away. Every nite there are police making turns to check the place. There is a complete kitchen, microwave, refrigerator to cook our meals. Breakfast is served daily with hot coffee. Maria makes you feel at home and has the information all you need.

Nice hostel tucked in a cool corner of Bogota. The staff are incredibly friendly here and like to have a chat about what you are doing and help suggest things that you can do. There is a lot going on in the area (La Candelaria) and the hostel is even hosting part of a theatre festival taking place over the...
