I made a booking at this hostel and specified that I was going to arrive early, 6 am. My night bus came to Bogota 1 hour early and my taxi arrived at the hostel at 5 am instead of 6 am. I rang the doorbell and a very angry hostel owner opened a window. I told him that I had...

We stayed here for a night for a night in this well located hostel in La Candelaria. We asked for a dorm room, but according to the owners (ok people) they were all booked - even though it seemed to be pretty empty during our entire stay (we only saw a couple of other guests there). Hence, we had to...

At first I was a little hesitant about staying here (had heard the location is a bit dodgy), but changed my mind completely on arrival. The lively square directly outside can be a bit noisy (not good for those expecting a quiet night), but otherwise felt safe and atmospheric, with a couple of nice restaurants next door and around the...

We stumbled on this Hostel by chance and decided to give it a go. I believe we paid 50.000 COP for a private twin room, which equates to 10 Euro per person, per night. The room was a little shabby and the matress was not great, but who can complain for 10 Euro per night, as the location was absolutely...

I am so pleased to review this facility. Roberto, the manager offers hospitality with a sense of family. He maintains this place clean, neat, and offers a wonderful daily breakfast with Colombian coffee, complementary. He knows Bogota very well and offers guidance on how to get around the city. Besides, the location of Casa Quevedo makes easy to visit the...

Hostal Casa Quevedo is a great place to stay if you're looking to be close to the great little plaza - Chorro de Quevedo. This plaza is chosen as a hangout for locals Thursday through Saturday nights and you can meet other travellers there whilst having locals perform musical, comical and magical skits etc. There are plenty of restaurants nearby...

First of all, the noise was terrible. Because the hostel is located on a busy square (which actually was a nice square and a great location in Candelaria) there is a lot of noise at night which kept me out of my sleep. Another annoyance was the fact that you had to ring a bell to get in. This means...

Most uncomfortable bed I've had since China! It's made of plastic, was hard as stone, will make you sweat and the pillow is a stiff, plastic rock too. It's SO BAD that it would have been really funny if it wasn't so painful!! Also, the owner smokes downstairs which filled our room with smoke all the time and this place...

Right on the little plaza in the very heart of Candelaria (try the pizzas in the tiny restaurant immediately to your left as you exit the hostel, if you stay); but the location is literally in the eye of the storm for noise. Friday and Saturday night the police come through and send everyone on their way at midnight, no...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hostel, is a two story house, it has a coffee-bar, TV and game area, there’s an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a good coffee, beer, take the sun or just enjoy the beautiful sight that the down town area offers. The accommodations are very comfortable due to the high quality standards that we manage at our hostel. The hostel is located near the university area and most of the interesting touristic places like museums, cafes, restaurants, shopping centers and many other places of interest. The hostel is located in the heart of where Bogota was found. The house preserves its original architecture and it’s a warm place to spend a good stay. “I can only comment on the 4-bed mixed dorm on the upper floor, a friend and I stayed in and it was quite comfortable but rather small which wasn't a real issue as we were usually out seeing the sights etc. Our room was however rather noisy until 11PM/Midnight (Thursday-Saturday) as it faced directly onto the plaza. I would recommend choosing a room numbers 202-204 if you don't plan on being out that late. Also be aware the mattresses are rather stiff but comfortable and I still gained a great night sleep unlike some of the other reviewers.”
