I really loved this hotel. It was my first time in South America and first time in Bogota. The staff are warm and friendly, the food was good. The bed was firm. Close to great restaurants and bars. Taxis are cheap, they also have a car service that you can get to go to salt cathedrals for 48 USD RT...

The Book Hotel is in a quaint neighbourhood of Bogota called Chapinero Alto. It is a quiet and well-kept residential area. To get to the Candelaria part of the city (old town), you will have to take a taxi, but they are readily available and very cheap (about 12,000 Colombian Pesos = $5 USD). The hotel, as the name suggests,...

This hotel is very cosy, especially the cafe which is like a book shop where you have your nice breakfasts. The rooms are also very nice. However we had some problems with the room when we first checked in in the middle of the night (stuck toilet and not so clean sheets) the staff was sincerely sorry and very helpful...

The book hotel is everything you want - spacious rooms with luxurious bathrooms (with functioning hot water!), delicious included breakfast and friendly staff - all in the setting of a quirky book hotel. Would really recommend - especially for the price!

This place sets the standard for Colombia. Although not perfect, very helpful staff and a lovely setting made this a pleasure to stay in a lovely area of Bogota. Good wifi and, in the end, a room safe that worked. Nice little cafe was relaxing too.

This hotel is sooooo nice!! The zone where it's located is really good, with manly things to do nearby, the building is magical, the charm here is that they are a library at the same time and you can find all kinds of titles. Rooms are clean, fresh and comfortable, and the staff is also very polite and always willing...

We decided against staying in Candelaria as I wanted to feel comfortable going out at night and it certainly felt safe around this hotel. A good couple of nights were spent enjoying the nearby small branch of the Bogota Beer Company and Mini Mal, a highly recommended bistro, is just around the corner (as were a few other restaurants). The...

I stayed there as part of a 2 week trip tour with Intrepid Hotel as the starting and finishing hotel. Great hotel, lovely room and bathroom. Very modern. Staff were nice and very helpful. Some don't speak much English but wasn't a problem as I just used Google translate on my phone. Great cafe area which I had a good...

Stayed here a few nights before and after a group tour. It's s very lovely, modern and well presented hotel. The rooms are very well decorated and spacious. A journey from the airport should cost approx 25-30,000 pesos. The staff are lovely and yoy get a hearty breakfast included. The hotel is located approx 4kms from La Candeleria, so it's...

Stayed here the final night of our Colombia group tour. Found it a nice comfortable place to stay although away from downtown. Asked tour leader reason for location & was informed that it was a safer place to stay then downtown.
