The Cranky Croc was perfect for our 3 night stopover in Bogota. The hostel is really lovely, spacious and clean, the kitchen is fantastic and the staff are very helpful! It's situated in the heart of La Candelaria, close to restaurants, bars and surrounded by amazing street art. A must stay in Bogota!

I switched hostels here after my first couple of nights in Bogota at Hostel Sue and didn't regret it. There's a brilliant atmosphere - led by Freddy who does a great local walking tour, plus a hectic but must do trip to see a local football match. The rooms are clean and spacious and the bathrooms are the best I've...

Good location (near to bars and ATM), spacious, comfortable, guarded, breakfast was available (maybe the reviewer below didn't wake up early enough), activities were available to plan, information was provided in abundance, the members of staff were friendly, big lockers with power sockets were supplied, personal lamps were fixed to the walls adjacent to beds, there was hot water in...

Only spent one night there but rooms were clean and people at the reception were helpful. They offered some activities which is good to plan a bit your day. Only thing I would've wanted to have is breakfast available and more activities in the hostel (maybe was there in the wrong night)

We stayed here for 3 nights, a lovely spacious hostel with great bathrooms. The hostel itself is great for the money, cracking location in Le Candelaria which is walking distance from most of the sights. Well worth joining the "free" graffiti walking tour (they expect 1 20,000 peso donation) to explore and open your eyes. A safe location, just be...

The hostel was always clean, lovely rooms & spotless showers and bathrooms all the time The reception & cleaning staff were always friendly and helpful. Assisted me in sorting out my messed up flights with smiles on their faces. Freddie who does the walking tour is also lovely and will undoubtably help you and give you good advice. Will definitely...

Had a very relaxing stay here for three nights. Clean and quiet dorms, central location in La Canderella, friendly helpful staff and owners. Safe and secure with good lockers, CCTV and night doorman. Breakfast is really nice. Social area is functional but still good for food and a few evening drinks - they have plans to make it bigger too.

The place is good. It's well located walking distance to several attractions, the starting point for walking tours and there are several restaurants and shops nearby. We stayed in a private room that was very spacious, clean, quiet and had a hot shower. They have a shared kitchen and lounge/dinning area and provide breakfast at an extra cost if you...

Kind and informative staff, a mixed and friendly clientele of all ages and nationalities, comfortable clean rooms and dorms all set in a historic and very beautiful house in the middle of the Candelaria district. Even the location is ideal walking distance to Montserrate, the Museo del Oro, Museo Botero, main plazas, and lots of restaurants in the Candelaria and...

Loved this place! Luxury at the end of my South America trip, maybe the best beds, rooms and bathrooms of any hostel I've been to. Hot water was lovely!! Also, the reception staff were very nice. I was given tips on where to eat and what to see which made for not only a good time at Cranky Croc but...
