This is what most people would call a luxury hotel. The rooms are huge with their own seating area, closets and large, comfortable beds. The bathrooms are marble and spacious. The hotel provides all the services that one would expect e.g. free internet, room service, etc. There is a spa, swimming pool, gym and even a disco in this hotel....

I stayed at the El Presidente July 27th and July 28th. I found the staff very hospitable. I came down with a stomach bug so the first thing I did when I got to my room was order room service. The staff was very accomadating, considering I don't speak very good Spanish. I food and drinks came within 30 minutes...

I spent the first week traveling in the remote southern area of Bolivia, so the Hotel Presidente was a real treat! Hot showers and toilets once again! Whoohoo! I found the staff to be entirely accommodating, especially with our requests to do video interviews onsite. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and with large bathrooms. The restaurant serves a great...

I agree with everything said by the last review. It is a bit dated, but views, staff, location, breakfast, rooms etc etc are all very good.

The earlier reviews are right - it's all abit dated and really needs a refit, bit it was perfectly adequate and the one highlight for us was the top floor bar and restaurant. We arrived late on so decided to get a quick (complementary) drink in the bar. The view out was so amazing we ended up staying in the...

This hotel is a bit dated, but everything is in good condition, clean and the service was good. Five stars it is not but our room was a very generous size and it is in a good location with quite a few tourist attractions within easy walking distance. The food is the restaurant is ordinary but cheap. Overall, have no...

The Hotel Presidente may at one time have earned its five stars from the Bolivia tourist agency, but there is no way it deserves them now. If you simply count amenities and turn a blind eye to the quality of service or maintenance of those amenities, you could imagine it as the five-star hotel it could have been (and perhaps...

The other reviewers are correct, this hotel has seen better days. But, after traveling for a few weeks staying in cheap hostels, this was wonderful - two ply toilet paper, hot water with pressure, heat, etc. We paid about $60/night. Room service was nice - steak dinners for $5 or so as was the nice restaurant in the top floor...

We found this hotel very amusing - it was like some kind of cheesie seventies film set - all polished chrome and chandelliers, avocado coloured suite in the bathroom set against polished black granite. It was a little disconcerting to be on the 11th floor and find that the very large - single glazed floor to ceiling window actually slid...

The Presidente has a excellent location in the central part of La Paz. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with international cable TV, desk and sitting area. The decor is dated-- I felt like I was in 1976. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a small swimming pool and fitness center. Quality of food in both...
