My fiancé and I traveled to Punta Del Este for an engagement trip and stayed in room 118, the only room with a balcony. Probably the best service we've ever experienced. The resort workers met our every need while at the pool and the beach - particularly Pedro and Victor. They were extremely respectful and attentive. Our room was quite...

Checked in to this hotel today, paying $250 a night for a room that is supposed to be at least 25sq metres. The room which we have been allocated is so small that I have nowhere to put my suitcase. I can hear the people in the room above me walking around, I can hear the reception staff below me...

Currently staying in room 101. It is so small that there is no space to open a suitcase. And the outside view for a supposedly luxury hotel is pretty poor, even for a standard room. The hotel in general needs some refurbishment. Definitely not worth the price paid (over US$250/night).

What a spectacular location- it is a beautiful hotel! On the beach, with views onto the heart of Punta Del Este. This is adults only, which we enjoyed. In season they have two restaurants open- both excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in had a balcony, was spacious and had good linen. All and all-...

The hotel is right on the beach. Each day staff drag 'day beds' out onto the sand and enable you to laze away the day in luxury a stones throw from the ocean. Staff are always on hand to bring you a beverage of your choice, and are always helpful and friendly. The food was good and the hotel has...

The room was small but clean and the bed and linen confortable. Nice breakfast and employees friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool and view from the poll area and from the restaurant. Our room was city view and noisy, we also heard other guests moving on the upper floor. The hotel needs an overall renovation. We expected more for the price...

This is a magnificent building, converted from what used to be an old grand flour mill, completely renovated to its new incarnation as a boutique hotel positioned right on the beach. The lines and art are stunning, with a modern minimalist look which contradicts and fine old style of architecture of this building. Even though it was a rainy Sunday...

We were in the off season so the hotel was very quiet. We got an upgarde as they were repainting the indoor pool. A bit of Old Hollywood glamour in the reception and eating areas and our room had gorgeous views over the ocean and up the coastline. Old charm with shutters. Truly the only hotel on the beach. there...

This is a really good place to stay in Punta. Serena Hotel is one of few if not the only hotel that you can access the beach just opening the hotel's door. The pools are good, one has a view to the beach and there is an internal warm pool for the cold days. The sunset here is amazing. You...

We heard Punta del Este was a pricey, party town. We booked a room for one night towards the end of season (late-March) hoping to enjoy a bit of the town's charm at better prices and without the crowds. We were lucky to book this hotel for half price. Had we paid full price this review would have read a...
