My friend and I was in a motorcycle tour in Uruguay and We have decided to stay at Hotel Playa Brava because he has already been there. Very good decision! It is very well located, close to the main hotspots of Punta! Comfortable and the prices are very fair!
Room: it was kind of dirty and Housekeeping only make beds - that's all. Glasses and towels were dirty and room was smelling bleach when we got there. Room was very small. Poor hotel for the high price. The good thing was the room was quiet. Location: SUPERB during the day and night! Near the beach and restaurants / bars.
We originally planned to stay only 2 nights but stayed 3 as we found it very convenient and it was a weekend and holiday so we visited a number of regional places within a few hours driving distance. The rooms were airy and looked over the ocean - the staff were extremely friendly and breakfasts were very good.We had no complaints for service, cleaniless or location.
we have visited in November and the weather wasnt very warm, the sea is cold but its possible to swim, surfing is popular just down the street from hotel. they serve good breakfast incl. in the price. its just in the centre, only few minutes from the downtown. rooms are nice, try to get one with the sea view
Super located, near the beautiful beach and the shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful owners. The wifi is poor. Breakfast is simple. Parking free in the street. Rooms basic but clean. A place to be recommended.
location - amazing, very close to everything. you can see the beach from the window staff - great, very helpful, very nice room - not big, but well maintained breakfast - very good, big choice I would chose it second time
I stayed at this family owned and operated value hotel during the last part of November 2014. Juan Carlos and Silvie were great hosts and I found much to like about the hotel. The location is a block away from Emir Beach, a block away from a bus stop that gives you access to public transport, a few blocks from the Punte Del Este bus terminal where you can find charter buses or return to the Montevideo airport, or go anywhere in the country for day trips. There is a casino a few blocks away and the pier and waterfront district are three blocks away. The room is cleaned every day and the owners take pride in delivering a good ,safe ,clean place for visitors . Punta del Este is not in-expensive and I don't mind economizing where I can. Juan Carlos speaks some English and was good about helping me get my questions answered. I always felt comfortable here and would recommend it to my friends. My room was small, but it had everything I needed, Plus, I could open the window and hear the waves break.and I always got a nice breeze through the window. and plenty of light. There is a nice observation deck on the top floor and an elevator to help people get themselves and luggage comfortably to their rooms. Thanks Juan and Silvie for being so nice to me during my stay and putting so much effort into making this hotel a good place to stay.…
