Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi is no different from other Marriotts elsewhere in the world – very well designed, extremely serviceable, high quality furnitures and fixtures, and well-suited for travelers who mix business and pleasure. And in this specific case, very well-located, being within walking distance from a lot of downtown points of interest.
The rooms are very large – you could probably open six large luggage at the same time and have walking paths left over. The floor-to-ceiling wardrobe cabinetry is very high quality – although the leftmost and rightmost panels have no actual purpose and they don’t open. The mini bar cabinet is similarly well done, with wine glasses and coffee cups at the ready. The work desk sits at the far end, but extends via several drawer cabinets all the way to the window. The headboard wall uses the same wood paneling theme, as does the two night tables. Both night tables were also high quality and had their own electrical outlets which we again appreciated. Actually, the room had a lot of outlets.
The long foyer has a marble floor, like the T&B, but after 4 meters, the nicely designed carpet tales over. The large TV sits above the work desk extension on the opposite side, and a two seater sofa and footstool faces the TV set. There were several English language channels which we appreciated. There is one accent light – a floor standing lamp – which was all-metal modern but without any lampshade so it was too bright for our taste. One wall was all windows – nice – and it had both the sheer and blackout curtains. There were two large modern art frames to break the monotony of the walls.
The T&B was decently large, with a separate tub, shower and toilet stall. The wash basin had a large area for spreading your cosmetic items. They had two sets of bath, hand and face towels, something that should be standard for 5-star hotels but unfortunately not true. The only negative was that there was no door to the shower stall so a lot of water spilled into the common area. All amenities were dispenser type, which we liked.
Breakfast was at the Kuzbara, a cozy place, where the staff are so quick to prepare the tables so they don’t run out. Food was of such great variety – my first time to see Asian noodle soup with good variety of toppings. And the all-Filipino staff were so friendly – Carlo, Rona, etc. They had an egg station and the waiters were quick to serve coffee and juices.

The team at Marriott Downtown in Abu Dhabi, from the front desk to the attendants to the wait-staff at their Kazbara breakfast buffet, are exceptionally professional and welcoming. The service is phenomenal, and every person is there to help. Every person asks how you are doing and looks to see how they may be able to assist or serve, and they spare no expense in ensuring that the hotel and elsewhere is clean. Speaking to people like Carlo who helps at the buffet, or seeing the smiles on peoples faces as they help others, it’s evident that the service team enjoys their job and take pride in their professionalism. They provide service to people from across the world with the same standard of hospitality, and are a model of hospitality for others to follow.

The hotel’s downtown location is central, making it convenient for getting around Abu Dhabi. The checkout process with FD Ayazhan was seamless, making our departure as easy as the rest of our stay. Overall, a comfortable stay with attentive service that made it memorable.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Abu Dhabi. Considering the price in this location compared to near emirates places, recommend to stay here at cheaper price but get better rooms and services. Staying anywhere at Abu Dhabi prettt much the same as most attractions not in one place and spread around the city and need can to go from one place to the other.
The check-in process was great and thanks to Avin & Irene for fast check-in process. As Titanium Elite, I was upgraded to a two bedroom apartment on the Marriott Executive Apartment while keep ability to enjoy the lounge and brrakfast at the Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi. Thank to Erit. The room was huge and very clean. The view just okay. The service was awesome.The breakfast was awesome and have lots of choices. Much better than JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.
Really recommend to stay here while visiting abu dhabi. Pay less compare to Edition or Conrad but the service was the same or better with free breakfast for platinum or above.

Excellent location, excellent staff and a great pleasure to stay in this hotel!!!! I stayed there for almost 30 days and my stay was extremely pleasant. The location is at the heart of the downtown, very close to Al Wahda mall, so everything was close by. Right from staff at the reception, restaurant, lounge to housekeeping - everyone was so courteous and helpful. Specially want to highlight the housekeeping staff "Smile" who was just amazing. Everyday she was taking care of the room so nicely, that I never had to call housekeeping even once separately. Thanks a lot to all hotel staff for making my stay so enjoyable!!!!

This hotel is in a very convenient location across from a large shopping mall (including PCR test center) and the bus station (with free buses to Dubai Expo). The entire staff showcased some of the best service we have ever experienced. Melody from the food & beverage team in the Club Lounge is amazing! She is so friendly and hard-working and truly made such a positive impact on our stay. We also want to thank Sandidtya from the breakfast team for her fantastic service. The breakfast buffet is very impressive and extensive. The room (20th floor) had large windows with great views.

This hotel is exceptional!! Service is excellent in all departments...from the Front Desk...through housekeeping creating towel animals and orchids...M Lounge one of the best overall facilities I have seen, Creative and delicious foods, cocktails and all day snacks.
The breakfast buffet is an amazing bargain providing made to order items as well as an international smorgasbord!!
The SPA is a find, great services and very good prices. & the Salon has great personnel and services. One of the best pedi's I have had in a long time.

We enjoyed our time at the Marriott DT Abu Dhabi over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had an opportunity to still celebrate traditionally as the resturant provided Turkey and all the fixings.
We had a small problem with our room and team leader Erit Triana took care of it immediately and generously accommodated us for the inconvenience. The wait staff was very pleasant every morning and Linda specifically would always meet us with smiles.
The hotel is very clean and convenient to many attractions.

Well there are few options need can go for
1. Use the hotel transports, means their limo, this might cost you 200+ it worth the price as you are with your family and you have things.
2. Use the hotel shuttle services if they cover you all the way : Free
3. Hire a Taxi, ask for fix rate and I would estimate 300AED
4. Take Uber, the cost will totally depend on the time and car type.
5. Use public transport from Abu to Dubai, cost within 100AED but with so much hustle moving around with the family and bags.
When we took a taxi from the Dubai airport to the hotel, it took about 1 and a half hours. On the way back, we did bus and metro which took between two to two and a half hours. The taxi is obviously more convenient, but the bus/metro is much cheaper.
"Al Wahda Mall steps away. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Easy public transit if so inclined. The central bus station close for bus to Dubai."
There are more places to choose from in the Abu Dhabi area.
