Location is not best but good. Easy access to most of the places. Property is old and needs major renovation. Service quality below avarage comparison to other crownes plazas in the region.
Check i/o: we checked in before 3pm and they well assisted. Only waited 15min. We booked 2 rooms. First night of the one room booked with ihg points. They could not manage the reservations so 2nd night room key cancelled. Come back from floor to reception. I hate this situations. New key new wifi connection etc.
Room cleaning was very good but room check was not done properly. 1 room has comp waters and refreshed on both days but other doesn't have. They provide 2 bathrobe which is very nice if it is in standards but why do you provide only one pair of slippers?
There is no proper pick up service. They use regular taxi for pick up. So no point to ask for pick up.
Restaurant: Breakfast is just 15usd and buffet is very good. Taste is good. No of staff is not enough. On Saturday morning all tables full. Only 1 waiter, 1 supervisor and 1 manager were on duty. As a result everything run out on the buffet, ask to staff no return ...
Apart from renovations all above points can be easly impoved. Beirut is a touristic destination. There is no concierge it is ok not necessary but we asked to staff they could not give us info. F/O can provide basic map. Show on basic info.
Stayed for a 4 night business trip and think its location that sells the hotel. Located on a vibrant busy main street with plenty on offer from restaurants, bars and shops.
Requested a high room so was disappointing to be given one in floor 2 and after going in there thankfully hotel moved me to 17th which was much quieter traffic wise and a better room all round.
Breakfast was only ok but the omelette chef was a bit loose with his finesse. Had lunch in hotel as part of our business event and this was fantastic however.
Roof bar is nice enough but for me would rather go out to the local environment which has so much to offer. Strange set up with pool however close to tables and as such put me off going in. Nice to have within hotel however.
For me though Beirut is the winner. Media paints such a different picture to reality and to think I was close to missing Lebanon with scare media in UK, and I would have been totally gutted as this was highlight of my trip. Fantastic city, great hotel location and can walk to the rocks, and the marina restaurants perfectly safe with a lot of character. Hotel was great and Id definately stay again.
This is my third time to stay in this hotel. I just love the location just off hamra str. I got a sea view room, it has mini fridge and a kettle.
The staff are very friendly, good Wi-Fi connection, varieties of breakfast. Shower is strong I liked it very much, TV has lots of channels. And good aircon.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for people visiting Beirut and planning to stay in Hamra.
I would only suggest two main things. First, the breakfast starts from 6-11. The first day we went there at 8:30 and the juice dispencer was almost empty. I waited for them to refill it but nothing. So I asked the waiter and he helped me to get the last bits of that. Following day the same thing, however the waiter got me juice from the kitchen instead of refining it. I'm just wondering why it wasn't being refilled given the time (too early and I expect people to go the the breakfast until 10:45).
Another issue was the hair dryer in the room. The style is too old and it takes ages to dry the hair.

I was upgraded to a sea view suite. The second room I just closed off as it had worn sofas and chairs and a cigarette smell. The bedroom also needed to be up-dated - very worn and dull. Sea view wasn't worth much as it is all ugly rooftops. The bright spot of my stay was the lounge. I took my breakfast there because it was quieter than the UG restaurant. Hot omelete arrived in just 5 minutes. There were adequate breads, jams, cheeses and meats, fruits, and cappucinos. The evening service included various spreads and salads. The best ones were a shrimp salad and a chicken salad. Wines were served but rationed! I complained to the front desk about this fact and they finally gave me more wine based on my platinum status. Bed was comfortable. Rooftop bar area was sadly in need of a facelift! Good enough stay for the price and upgrades.

It’s an older hotel that is very well maintained with a new facade in a hip part of Lebanon’s capital. Let me start by saying this: I vote yes.
Here’s why: - The staff are very hospitable and make you feel at home - The outdoor seating just outside the lobby is a big plus - Restaurants are all around - The breakfast is very good (see pictures) - It’s on Hamra Street which is very alive and happening - The rooms are clean despite the older feeling - The internet is fast

The higher up the lower level of noise. The hotel has 20 floors and I usually get rooms above the 11th floor, most of the time on the 18th. The hotel is not close to the sea shore and you need to walk about 15-20 minutes to reach the sea shore boulevard where people walk for exercise in the evening. So your sea view is a bit distant. To avoid the noise on either side of the hotel, request a floor as high as possible. If you are a club member, your complementary evening snack (really good mini-dinner) with alcohol and soft drinks is served on the 19th floor, including coffee and sweets during the day.
