Great location and welcoming staff right in the heart of Hamra where all the clubs and bars are situated and close to the Mediterranean ocean

If the we hadn´t arrived late at night, I wouldn´t have accepted a room for two without a decent toilet - there was a small room with a sink, the toilet seat was partly under the sink so you could not sit on it properly and the shower was on top of the sink so using it wuold have made...

I stayed here because my friends wanted to stick to a budget and we didn't have much time to keep searching. I wish I had kept searching for a better deal or just paid a bit more for Casa D'or or another in the area. Embassy hotel is in a great location and they provided the basics, but barely. The...

We decided to stay a few more nights in Beirut but in Casa d'or (where we were staying) they didn't have availability so we came here (it's just around the corner from Casa d'or) and asked for a room. We got a double for 75$ without breakfast, saving 25$ a night from the previous accommodation. We had a big and...

My friend who lives overseas booked this hotel via the Lonley Planet web site. Unfortunately he didn't know about Trip Advisor which I regard as "my bible" when booking accommodation. The Embassy hotel is dreadful. We paid $66 each per day (4 days) for 2 single rooms. Upon arrival at the hotel we were asked to pay for our stay...

So simple to find and so good value for a decent *** hotel. Friendly staff and respectably sized rooms on one of the main streets through West Beirut. The Corniche is about 15 minutes' walk away, with modern Downtown about 20 minutes walk. Walking's almost as quick as a cab in this town which has the traffic of Athens and...

First of all....make sure you get a WRITTEN conf from these people. Surprise, when I got there, my reservation was not found. I was advised that the only room they had available was a double rather than the single I had reserved. Then they tell me the double is 180.00 USD a night.....HA! I had just come in from Syria...
