I’m a business traveler and have made the Intercontiental Riyadh my home away from home almost every week since 2016.
The staff are absolutely brilliant - from the greeters on arrival, to the front desk, housekeeping & room service staff - my preferred room is always waiting for me with fruit, extra water, coffee and my favourite pillows.
I’m addition, the gym is world-class (on par with anything in Europe), and they even have tennis courts and a 9-hole golf course for guest use.
Having worked as a management consultant for the whole of my 25-year career, I can honestly say no place has made me feel more like a member of the family!

I stayed one night to attend friend social party in the Buraida Hall. As usual, Intercontinental is providing the happiness anywhere, and this hotel is extremely comfort in every thing. Many setting area in the lobbies, reception staff is amazing, the room is very spacious as I booked club room, fruit basket, espresso machine, and enough mineral water are provided as well as a complete set of amenities. I feel very happy for the level of the cleanliness as the towels are very bright white. 😋😋the breakfast is amazing and assorted, very rich and assorted cheese, you have Brie, smoked, Edam, halloumi, and Emmental cheese😋😘
The location is in old Riyad City and relatively far from the airport and you have to take care of the traffic, 40 minutes to/ from airport.
The concierge staff helped me to get city taxi to airport with a good fare rate. There are many facilities in the hotel like gem, business office, etc, but never used due to short trip.

We have been using this hotel for the last few months due to it’s location close the King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
We first visited in early September when I was due to be admitted to the hospital for major orthopaedic surgery, so my husband was alone in the hotel apart from the first few days. The staff were very keen to find out how I was doing, tried to get fruit and flowers delivered to me (not allowed due to Covid restrictions) and looked after my husband very well.
This week we returned for my first outpatient appointment. They seemed genuinely pleased to see us, asked how my recovery was going and upgraded our room to one with disabled access and also loaned us a wheelchair for our stay. They couldn’t have been more helpful, even tempting me with extra complimentary desserts!
The general feel of this hotel is of an upmarket chain hotel, but with that personal service that makes you feel valued and cared for. We would definitely recommend and will be back for my next outpatient appointment.

The state of the art gym advertised is 100% MALE ONLY. Women can only work out from 6am-2pm in a small room on the basement cut off from cell service and WiFi. Also, check if you are in a room “near the guards” that sit by the VIP rooms. Very loud with change over, watching movies, on the phone etc. at all hours. Because of this, I requested a room change and in the process someone gained unauthorized access and let their selves in my room to leave a love note “requesting my phone/snap/contact information and praised my beauty etc” the hotel managers were quick to apologize I’ve me to another “secure floor” with no guards. I’m still not sure how someone was able to gain access to my room for their personal desires of trying to flirt with me but it’s quite concerning. The rooms are decent though a bit outdated. There are many other nice hotels in the same price range/ area that you don’t need this hassle/harassment at.

Hotel is located in the center and rooms are a little old but service mentality and special care to customers are at the highest level. Had a medical situation and Abdullah from reception took me to hospital in urgent basis and stayed with me all time until he makes sure that I am OK. The next few days, I have been asked for my state of health almost by everyone which makes you feel like you are with family. Definitely recommended.

It was a great experience, the service was excellent. It was a seafood night and the variety was huge.Food was very good and the presentation was exceptional. Staff was very helpful and friendly, always seeing that we were comfortable. Ambience is good. Service is good. Used crockery and cutlery was removed as soon we we finished eating. Welcomed by the reception staff and shown our seats and made us feel special. I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to all. Sadaam Hussein was very helpful too.

Chef Madura presented delicious Peruvian dishes as requested, sweets were a taste of Peru in KSA! The crew worked nonstop, the head of the team Javed & also Ghalib excelled.
They were punctual, well-organized in their work, no clutter caused. They demonstrated good teamwork.

Checked in at 3.30 after a delayed flight from Heathrow. Got given a “Cabana” room which was a very long walk from reception. When I got there it was like I’d stepped back in time 20 years. I had to turn the aircon off because it sounded like an earthquake was occurring and the entire room stank of stale cigarette smoke. Fixtures and fittings falling apart in the bathroom. The bed was at least comfy. I’m an IHG Gold member and expected better than this. But simple fact is I won’t be staying here again.

Yes. I can confirm that. The service at Al Bustan resturant is great snd all the staff delivering amaizing services. All the team members at InterContinental Hotel Riyadh shows high level of professionalism.
I dashed off to a meeting leaving a colleague to pay the bill for the buffet; he complained bitterly about the price saying he would have needed to stay there eating constantly for 3 days to get good value — so, think expensive. Better to go out to eat, or the on-site restaurant which is better value than the buffet.
