I Stayed at the MOVENPICK Riyadh at the recommendation of a friend and am glad I stayed here during this trip. The last time I was in Riyadh the hotel was getting ready to open and now you can see the hotel has put in a lot of effort to make the hotel a warm place to stay. The hotel is conveniently located closed to KAFD, Riyadh Digital City, and Diriyah.
My room had a king bed with large comfortable pillows and a warm duvet to balance the cool temperature of the room. I liked the round working desk and 2 modern task chairs as it provided more walking space in the room, but mor importantly allowed me to gaze out the window to take in some natural light. At the desk are 2 USB charging points, one more next to the bed would have been helpful, but the socket still allowed me to use my own charger at night.
The bathroom was clean and bright, stocked with ample amenities at the sink and shower. Bath towels are big and very absorbant.
The Mens gym was not busy when I went in the morning, and had a good mix of cardio and strength equipment from life fitness.
Breakfast at the club lounge was perfect with a fresh selection of pastries, cold dishes, and hot selection of food.
I am really impressed with the genuine friendliness of the staff, always making a point to say hello.
Look forward to staying here again on my next trip.

I chose to stay at the Movenpick Riyadh as it was located close to the airport and KAFD. We were greeted by Rahul Ray and Jamil the bellboys and check-in was seamless. It’s a fairly new hotel so the rooms are excellent in terms of aesthetics, cleanliness and condition. Breakfast is a real show- with Martin, Jeevan Gurung and the Breakfast chef all working like a perfectly coordinated symphony. The Moroccan restaurant Fez is beautifully curated and the service is excellent. Not to forget the views from the 15th floor. Zaman at concierge is very attentive and proactive, he knows the city very well. The F&B operations at this hotel is top-notch both in terms of food quality and service. The tea lounge on 1st floor is a must visit!

Stayed here recently and I’d say it was generally Ok, but little things let it down. Room etc was fine and cleanliness was good. For modern travelers the premier rooms could do with more sockets and the internet access needs to improved ALOT. Two systems are used one for the room which was just about ok and a second for the hotel at large. The second was so inconsistent as to be unstable with no effective connections on the terrace. This is awkward as they use QR codes for menus there.
The conference facilities were good, but again connectivity issues were an issue especially in the lower level.
Service was consistently slow for a 5* Hotel. A little more thought on the various lounge areas would improve the ambiance as not everyone wants to go to a gym or business centre. The main lobby is pretty sterile and I have already mentioned the terraces issues.
The top floor restaurant is great and the views over Riyadh fantastic. The food was tasty and top quality.
In summary this hotel has potential to be top notch, but is marked down on a number of small things that ultimately do matter in a competitive sector.

I stay at a lot of Accor Hotels and expected this one to be just as good. It is far below expectations. 3 days without hot water in my room and the water is yellow. The tv is now not working. The drivers for car service are unreliable and some some dangerous (on phone driving to figure out where to go). The worst aspect is the quality of food. Other hotels in KSA serve great food-here overcooked and at time inedible. Room service menu is limited as many things on the menu are not available. I am finishing my second week here and can’t wait to leave this hotel in a few days. I will never stay here again or recommend it to others in my company.

The biggest issue with this hotel is the fact that the “hold” they put on your credit card is actually transacted vs a pending authorisation. When it comes to refunding this hold they give it to you in cash as the only option which is incredibly unhelpful when leaving the country - I was refunded hundreds of riyals that I then lost money on exchanging. My advice would be to stay with a recognised/reputable hotel chain in Riyadh to avoid this problem.
Hotel was otherwise fine - staff friendly but clearly issues with hot water supplies. Pool is ice cold and showers take a long time to heat up.

Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I didn’t try breakfast as I had tea, instant coffee and espresso in the room.
We held an event there, which I wouldn’t recommend again due to the lack of organization and rigidness of the staff. The guest bathrooms were not cleaned during the even. The snacks were exposed and hygienically presented.
I May stay again at the hotel but wouldn’t recommend holding an event there for sure.
Another point: they misplaced our banners and lost them.

Really lovely stay at the Movenpick Riyadh. It was my first time in KSA and Zaman was very helpful in making reservations and also in arranging collection and drop off to the airport.
