I've been staying at this hotel for one year. I recently visited again after COVID and wasn't really sure what to expect. I only stayed a few days this time, but I found that all staff were wearing masks all the time. Unfortunately, I've been to other 5 star hotels and staff are complacent. It seems the Hilton staff are very strict in terms of wearing face masks. Thank you.
Rooms are great, I was upgraded to a deluxe/ corner room which was great, the views are great with wide and tall windows. The room is just the right size (not too big, not too small). It's one of the best rooms I've stayed at and I'm a frequent traveler.
My compliments to the Executive chef and kitchen team. Breakfast at the main restaurant and room service delivery are superb!
My compliments also to the room cleaning team who obviously put effort to go the extra mile and see what you like to make your stay more comfortable. For example, providing extra water and coffee capsules for coffee addicts like myself.
Overall, staff are friendly and happy to help. I left my luggage is the storage room since March (pre-airport closure) and only came last week to find the staff welcoming me back and handing me my luggage just how I left it.
On the negative side, I'm disappointment in the hotel taking a short cut when it comes to the Executive Lounge service. Although the lounge is open 12 hours a day, yet it does not service any meals at all. Only coffee, water and nut! I heard breakfast will start next week, but no one informed me when dinner will start.
Having the dinner service at the lounge in essential for many business guests (me included). I know all hotels have had a hard time to adjust to COVID. However, I've been to other 5 star hotels that have closed the lounge service completely, but offer you free breakfast and dinner options instead. But to simply remove the service and not offer an alternative is taking the easy and cheap way. All hotels have had a difficult time to adjust their expenses after COVID, but steps like these could loose some customers when competition is offering a better service.

The Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences offers a beautiful base for business in the bustling city that is Riyadh.
The rooms are gloriously sized and can therefore serve as a second office for those opting for a remote working approach during the visit. Moreover the rooms are kept meticulously clean by the floor attendants who, should they happen to encounter you in your room, display generous flexibility in working around your schedule and being as unobtrusive as possible.
If you opt for the breakfast, you will find a veritable banquet every morning - special thanks to Chef Jihad Dfouni who consistently went out of his way to ensure that breakfast was easily my best meal of the day!
Overall, a lovely home away from home in KSA's capital!

❌management all the way up is not active, irresponsible, careless, and need to be replaced very soon since they impact our view towards Hilton and their guests
Stay experience is way under average:
❌path room maintenance is poor (2 visits faced same issues)
✅ fast response from maintenance team
❌ Room service is the worst due to understaffed team.. you have to call them to assure your room is cleaned regardless if you turn the make up sign or not.
❌ no valet parking service
❌ lateness in some requests since the hotel management utilizes its capacity while no enough staff.
Loyalty/membership program:
✅ ability to add multiple rates for possible discount via the mobile application
✅ ability to add airlines program number to gain the miles
❌ you have to follow up to ensure your miles are added into your airline account
❌ the check-in process is too long although I was checked in via the app and chosen my room number compared to Marionette.
❌ no checkout option in the mobile app to expedite the process and shorten the long queue upon your leaving
❌ don’t benefit from membership by default. U have to understand your rights to request and fight for your eligibility. Examples:
1. Early check in and late checkout are not applied
2. When I faced several issues due to under staff and poor management and training related issue while I am staying no proper compensation
3. No dedicated desk for mobile checked-in or memberships participants
Rooms:
✅ deluxe room and one bedroom suite are spacious
✅ wide glass window
✅ location
❌ no USP ports

I was visiting Riyadh for a weekend to attend a wedding which was being held at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences.. I checked in to the hotel on the 16th of Jan in the evening. I booked a room for 2 with breakfast through booking.com . At check in the employee gave me 1 key and told me the room number. Next morning at 11:30 I called the reception to ask on which floor the break fast restaurant is, the receptionist who answered my call said breakfast is over, It's from 6:30 to 11:00.. She still has not mentioned on which floor the restaurant is. So I went to have breakfast outside the hotel and came back around 4 pm. From 11:30 to 4 pm my room was not made up even though I put the post on the door and even made sure my request was attended to by calling housekeeping. Despite that, my room was just the way i left it. That evening around 7 pm I called and requested Ice. I had to repeat the call 3 times to get the ice. The service is way below Hilton standards or Hilton standards have just dropped.

+1
Stayed in the 3 bedroom residence for a family stay to entertain my kids during the COVID issue.. the smell of the corridor is always ashes and smoke, the room smells like food, the kitchen has a bad smell and also the bed sheets. We stayed for 3 days and no cleaning was offered although we called 5 times and no response was received- we also addressed the issue to the reception, who said they will send someone to clean, but no one came. The swimming pool was under maintenance, although at check in they said it was open .. also no kids club. Doors, light switches and handles all have dirty fingerprints. The only good things to be mentioned about the hotel are its location, view of Riyadh and spacious room. However, I will never return, nor will I recommend others to stay here.

This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Albeit readers should not that my opinion is perhaps skewed by the length (40 nights plus) of my residence here.
On first impressions, it looks like a Hilton. It has the logo, the staff uniforms, the branded note paper, the furnishing style, which you'd expect from the chain. But scratch the surface a little, and all is not well.
* The air conditioning in the residence isn't fit for purpose. It's stuck permanently at 23 degrees, and there's no way to turn it off. Yes, there's an off button - but its on some kind of sensor whereby if you walk past the thermostat it automatically turns itself back on.
* Every night, without fail, smells come through the air conditioning system. Some nights its cigarette smoke, on other occasions its cooking oil or good old fashioned burning rubber. It's like a smorgasbord of unpleasant scents served up on rotation basis.
* The soundproofing is terrible. The residence wing overlooks a car park. Every weekend, events involving loud, thumping bass line music take place in the car park. In a '5 star' environment, resorting to ear plug use should not be required.
* There is no concept of 'good service'. This is endemic. I encountered. It manifests itself in a range of ways. it's impossible to eat in the restaurant without waiters constantly hovering nearby, desperate to clear plates - invariably while guests are still eating - unless they are constantly cramming food into their mouths.
AVOID!

my experience with the Hilton Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences.
Starting with Check in:
It took me around 3 hours to finish that on my wedding day. The issue was as follow:
I had special offer and it’s because of it I choose the hotel. The offer was to give me exuxtive suite on the floors 14 or above. Yet in the check in I found that they offer me on 3rd floor. So, I had to ask for a change and Ms Asma was very kind and cooperative. Then they gave me this room 1737 and it was terrible from inside and I took pictures of it and went again to change the room. Then I received 1837. Overall I didn’t like it because of the furniture and the design but I have no choice at least it’s clean.
( I asked to see the suite earlier at the time of the reservation but they say due to coved-19 restrictions they can’t show guests)
So I left my stuff inside the room and went to prepare for the wedding.
Note: I chose a weeding day package that includes: flowers, cake, dinner and breakfast. I told them that I need it ready by 8:45 or 9:00 pm.
Going to the room with my wife at 9:20 pm
I found the cake on the table it was ok looking but not recommended. And no flowers on bed!
To add more to it the air conditioning for the living room is not working! And there is only one slipper and one bathrobe!
I called to ask for these stuff and it took long time to fix all these issues. Even after all that I didn’t get another bathrobe but it’s not the time for such a thing.
The maintenance when they came to fix the air conditioning the ask to go inside the room which is absolutely uncomfortable for us. At the end I asked them if it was really need fixing and they told me yes. So they fixed it.
The tv has commercial about the hotel even if I’m plugging my PS4 to play
the hotel commercial of a restaurant still go up the tv! It’s really unprofessional.
I didn’t like the tv to be honest and it might go offline all of a sudden if you watch some of the channels.
The room service is slow. I ordered a blanket and it took more than an hour and 2 calls.
It was unhappy experience for me.
Not happy with:
Check in, the furniture, toilets, suit layout, air conditioning, room service, the wedding package, tv, clothing closet has very little space to hang clothes.
To be fair:
I liked the breakfast and location.
Overall never again.

I have stayed in this Hilton twice this year thus far, both times on business travel. The management front desk has been courteous, professional, and mostly efficient regarding time. Management has reached out to validate customer satisfaction and it is clear this management is working to improve the property since the start of COVID and to get back to the norm as much as possible. the lobby is beautiful, and I love the fresh flowers out on display. The staff are SO KIND and outstanding! A gentlemen named Faruk brought my bags to my room, showed the amenities of the room, and was absolutely wonderful and professional. I really can say the same for the entire staff and would name them all if I could. The breakfast and dinner on the first floor is quite pricey, but the diverse mix, variety, and quality is worth the cost. Service is lovely in the restaurants, as well. Lovely stay in Riyadh.
