We stayed at Nofa Resort Radisson Collection on second day of Eid Adha in Aug 2020. Check in and welcome was great, we were offered welcome drinks and after check in we were escorted to a parking near the villa. Subsequently, the luggage was taken to villa 150 and we reached villa in a golf cart.
The resort is wonderful and the design of the villa with private pool is amazing. The whole place is setup as African inspired theme. The interior decorations and furniture. The architecture is great built on wood trunks and African style high ceilings.
My wife and kids enjoyed the place and clean pool with jacuzzi in very well designed, fairly big and landscaped backyard with great privacy in the scorching hot weather of Riyadh.
We choose Italian restaurant-Alfresco for dinner considering kids like Italian cuisines and the food was decent. Grilled sea bass with avocado was delicious. Good variety was available at the Tswalu Restaurant for breakfast (included in the reservation). Overall the staff was cooperative and helpful.
Till that time our stay was great, however, we went for private Safari in the afternoon and had a bad experience as the Air-conditioning of the vip van was not working. We were all sweating once the 45 minutes trip was over.
I did complain at the reception regarding the AC not working but was not given any satisfactory response. The guy at the reception told us that he will inform the manager and that is it. We were expecting that at least they should have informed us that the AC is not working so , we would have cancelled the safari.
We were disappointed at the level of communication.

First of the landscaping is just immaculate, stunning to see such perfect greenery just outside Riyadh in July. The steak restaurant very good. So the tea place in the evenings. The prices high, but those lawns (and the lake) don't come cheap in these parts.
However, given they are going to be charging 5*++ prices, it would have been worth going 5* on the rooms, which are fine, but nothing to write home about and make the individual pools a metre or so longer and wider? And chlorinated sufficiently that they don't have pond life! And room service a bit more extensive? And the bikes you can borrow a bit better maintained.
All said we had an excellent 2 day break. And the lawns are something to behold. Not sure how eco friendly, but the place does seem to be solar powered. Safari only half open due to covid, so won't rate one way or another. Best wildlife was the hedgehog my little boy found and bats zeen overhead.

Nofa is just over an hours drive outside of Riyadh. We (family of four) booked a two night stay in a two bedroom villa with private pool. We had 117 and was a close walk to the restaurants and the main swimming pool, within 1 to 2 minutes walk. The villas are well maintained and the pool area is in its own little garden. The pool was a bit cold so we asked for the pool heating to be switched on which made a big difference. One wouldn’t need the pool heating in full summer.
The food was really good and we ate in the main restaurant for all meals though you can order room service direct to the villa 24 hours a day if you want to eat by the pool.
My wife is gluten and dairy intolerant and my daughter is a vegetarian and we had no issues with the food. They were very careful got make sure all the food prepared was done separately for my wife so no cross contamination.
We would like to thank Fabrice the Manager, Ahmed from Operations, Walid the Restaurant Manager and especially Olivier, the Executive Chef for making sure we were looked after on the dietary requirements. We didn’t get the names of everyone but thank you also to all the teams for making our stay perfect.
Was a pity we had to leave but will return again someday.
We didn’t do any of the activities as we just wanted to chill and relax. The hotel is in the middle of a reserve so you can also do safaris etc. Nofa is an oasis in the middle of the desert and as mentioned is only an hour from Riyadh.

The resort does not provide complementary water!!!
Basically you have to order a +30 riyals evian water bottle to use your “complementary” coffee machine or tea. It is disappointing to see this type of services for the hefty room charge they take.

The room we booked was small, when we asked to upgrade to the next level of room, we were moved without giving any price to the biggest room available. When we asked about the price, we weren't told. In the middle of dinner we were told the price wasn't 30 percent or 50 percent more, not 100 percent more but three times the price of the normal room. We asked to get a discount or move and we called in the evening, all morning and in the day and no supervisor or manager was available. At 5pm the next day we were told we were already charged and no smaller rooms were available any more. Terrible customer experience and customer service. Nobody apologized nobody addressed this.

What an absolutely amazing resort! I cannot say enough about this property and its colleagues! I booked here for two nights as my first staycation in the Kingdom and was blown away with everything from my private bungalow to how green the grounds were to the amazing food and friendliness of the staff.
Room / Bungalow - All rooms (Bungalows) have a private pool, which is actually big size considering its your won. The pool is heated and has a jacuzzi aspect to it as well. The outdoor area around it is privately fenced it and has proper lighting so that you can make use of it at night as well. This alone was worth the price of the room. The actual bungalow itself was very spacious, a HUGE shower, lots of amenities, a huge "mini fridge" and a great selection of TV channels (this has always been an issue when I travel in Dubai, was nice to have Western TV to watch in bed at night here)
Grounds - Everything is green, and well taken care of. There are waterfalls and streams all over. There are two small ponds near the safari area, lots of pathways in which I took a morning run and easily knocked out 5ks before breakfast. They also have wildlife on site, both roaming freely, like flamingos and baby goats(I love the two baby goats up at the Shisha lounge) as well as wildlife in safely secured areas that you can view. You really did not feel like you were in KSA, but rather that you were in an African / Asian area.
F&B - Despite being what I would consider "low occupancy", all their F&B orderings were open. This was great, as I had options for dinner each night and was not limited to just one thing. On my first night I ate at the Italian Resturant next to the pool and had an amazing meal of fresh briskets and prawn pasta. The team there took extra care of me with outdoor heaters & even a small throw blanket to keep me warm as I sat outside. Afterwards I had a shisha at the shisha lounge which over looks the main pool area and is absolutely beautifully lit up at night. Each sitting area outside has its own fire pit and they serve amazing snacks and deserts... which I ordered. The second night I ate at the steakhouse and was not disappointed. Greats service again with an amazing meal. After I went back to the Shisha lounge again and got the same snacks for take away. Breakfast was very filling as they do a live pancake/waffle station as well as live Egg stations, along side a great selection of breakfast items on buffet. The F&B was spot on!
The team..... I cannot say enough about the colleagues at this resort.

The villas are beautifully decorated and furnished with African style. The overall staff and service is excellent. However, the restaurants and lounges menue prices are exaggerated and way above the quality of the food served.

Our stay at Nofa was a welcome break from the dusty city of Riyadh and in Nofa we felt as though we had been transported to another world… the exotic world of Africa! As designers we were drawn to the smallest of details which told the story of the wonders of Africa: from the individually carved doors with wild animals staring at you to the bed relief murals on the villa base walls and the curves and natural materials of the private fences encircling the tastefully located villas eith outdoor dipping pools…. All these reinforced the feeling that we were in fact in Africa. The coining on the cake are the multiple experiences that one can immerse themselves in and we chose to take the safari ride through the dessert. An incredible array of African wild animals in a free roaming setting made the whole feeling of Africa even more tangible if somewhat surreal as the notion of tigers and lions in the dessert dunes seemed at odds with their natural jungle habitat . But it worked. The animals were clearly well cared for and healthy and safe for visitors to come quite close to. The food was delicious and freshly prepared on the premises and the staff were very attentive and gave time in their quest to deliver an exceptional experience. They succeeded. One such staff member, Mohammad, when asked was his beautiful ring a Saudi art piece made locally, replied yes and took it from his finger and insisted I take it as a gift. I was both pleasantly surprised and somewhat embarrassed but found that I could not refuse his genuine gesture of kindness and hospitality. Now I will always think of and talk about Nofa when I look at his ring on my finger or when anyone asks me about it. Price wise it was a bit pricey but by joining the Nofa membership it offers discounts on food and future hotel reservations up to 28%. For a special treat to transport to another workd we thought it was worth it.
What a great short break getaway from Riyadh for a turbo boost of relaxation and fun to raise the bar on tourism offerings in the Kingdom. We are going again and we’ve already directed one of our social media groups from our compound to visit and enjoy the offerings.

First of all the place is like heaven on the earth! The staff are very discipline and helpful. The villa are beautiful furnished with SA style. Best thing of it was a private pool with the jacuzzi. The room were so spacious and spot less. Once through the security gates you almost forget you are in the middle of the Saudi desert. Not only are you transported into Africa but also into Paradise. This resort is beautiful; landscaped and well designed accommodation, excellent friendly staff and service and lovely food in the restaurants. Each Villa has a private pool allowing privacy for rest and relaxation. We stayed midweek when it was very quiet and you can pre arrange a private tour around the Wildlife Park and Animal centre which is worth a visit, especially feeding and stroking the resident cheetah. Overall; an excellent place for a couple of romantic, peaceful days get away from the city.
