The hotel was very good. Our room was large and well equipped. There was a mini fridge, kettle, mugs, tea, sugar. There was a big desk and a wardrobe with a safe. There was a prayer mat with a Quran on one of the shelves . The air conditioner worked well. Bathroom had towels, toilet rolls. The cleaners didn’t come every day but you could ring them and they would come and change your beds, bin and restock on everything. The two cleaners were very nice , they gave us extra mugs.sugar and whatever we needed. The only two things I would point out is 1) no microwave and 2) The hotel is a little bit of a walk to Masjid Al Haram. Coming back is a bit of a struggle because it’s on a steep hill. So a bit difficult for children and old people. Apart from that it was all great

The housekeeping team were efficient, thorough, and ensured that my room was kept in pristine condition throughout my stay.

However, I was disappointed with the restaurant service. The dishes lacked flavor and creativity, and I found the overall dining experience to be below expectations. Additionally, I encountered challenges with the service staff, who seemed disengaged and unresponsive to customer needs.

Stayed here for 4 nights during the 1st week of Ramadaan. This hotel has opened about 7-8 months ago - fairly new. The 5* hotel is not too far from the haram - about 10 mins walk. Its situated on a hill slope which makes walking downwards much easier than the vice versa. They do offer shuttle service to/from the haram; however, you cannot rely on it as they only have one shuttle cart in operation with a huge demand for it.

At times when coming back from the haram to the hotel, it would be almost impossible to find your shuttle back to the hotel as they do not wait always for people coming from the haram - this is really frustrating. In such an event, if you're totally exhausted and do not have the energy to walk 300-400 meters up-hill back to the hotel, you will be compelled to take a local taxi in which they will charge you nothing less than SAR15 (if youre lucky) during off-peak traffic and nothing less than SAR25-30 during peak traffic.

Moving on to the food part. Buffet was offered for iftaar (from Magrib time until 10PM). I was actually impressed with their variety. They had a huge variety of salads, breads, soups, grills, pastas, desserts, you name it etc.. The good thing was every night they had different items on the menu to offer, unlike other hotels which offer a consistent menu. The downside of the food part was that the food was always cold - even though they had burners under the tray. Since we complained, they have up their game and made sure to serve warm food next time. Overall, I would rate the buffet a whopping 8/10.

The room: very comfortable and spacious beds. Room included a flat screen TV, fridge, kettle, coffee and tea, wifi, and all you can expect from a normal 5* hotel. One aspect which was very unpleasant was the Wifi. Although they have multiple different networks you could connect to; you simply could not get Wifi connectivity within your room. You literally have to stand by the door in your room or in the corridor in order to get Wifi connectivity. This was really frustrating. And when connected to the Wifi whether its in your room, corridor, or even the lobby, its very unstable as it would disconnect a number of times even during a short period of usage. Wifi has become the thing that most customers look forward to having during their stay, but not maintaining your Wifi could result in the customer's dissatisfaction not matter how posh the hotel.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I would come here again ( not as a first preference when looking for hotels). If any management-level members are reading this please fix your WIFI, because the Wifi system is totally not what people would expect at a 5* hotel. Review your shuttle service to/from the haram since there is a big demand and expected of a 5* hotel. Make sure warm food is served at the time of buffet.

Thanks

This hotel is dated and the reception staff are very poor. They claim to not speak English but they do. The rooms are also not cleaned everyday. Don’t stay here if you’re looking for a hotel with better service. Definitely not 5 star.

Avoid to go…
Very poor food and service. I have paid for 5* hotel but I don’t believe even they are 2*.
Disgusting food. Every day same food for 10 days.
Smoking in corridors.
I have reached a few managers but they did nothing.
They are not even 3 star hotel. Don’t waste your money.

Reasons not to book
1. It is on a huge hill. Your legs will ache whether you’re young or old. It is a very long walk NOT 5 mins.

2. There is no WiFi in the hotel. (They have WiFi but it does not work)

3. There is no service in the hotel (if you get a sim, mobile data DOES NOT work.

4. Breakfast. Is not even breakfast. You don’t even get toast. You will starve. They have random things that are not classed as breakfast and NOT filling.

5. So many elevators but they are so slow. On one occasion the lift started to shake and began missing floors. It was scary.

The only good thing was the cleaning staff were very nice.

Yes but it depends on the Hotel Occupancy. If Occupancy is 80+ then you have to wait for the clean room.

I did not go to the airport from the hotel. Hence my answer may not be very much useful. I went to Madinah by road. However from the airport to hotel two of us together paid a total of 200 SR. you may be able to get a similar amount of fare to the airport from the hotel, I suppose. I have not explored public transport availability.
