We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Miriam Hotel. The hotel arranged our transport from Amman airport to the hotel and organised tours to the Dead Sea, Mt Nebo and the desert castles. A wide range of tours were available at very reasonable published prices....More
Stayed at the Mariam at the start and end of our holiday. Pickup from the airport at 3.30am went smoothly (14JD). Room (416) was of a good size, clean, shower over the bath and had a balcony overlooking the pool. There was satelitte tv and...More

Hi there. There is a daily bus to Petra leaving from Amman early in the morning. I am not sure where you would pick it up if staying at Madaba. A taxi ride to Amman from Madaba is inexpensive and can be arranged by Charl at Hotel Mariam. We chose to go to Petra from Madaba by private car with a driver arranged by Charl. It has the advantage that you can make a diversion to umm al rasas (well worth a visit) and to Kerac Castle. Set price of around 70 - 80 JD.
