There is a hotel with a similar name in Turkey which we nearly booked by accident! This is not bookable over the internet so best give them a call. The proprietors are very welcoming and offers of tea and coffee abound. They also extend the use of the WC facilities; tea and coffee and luggage storage after check-out should you...

Hadrian's Gate Hotel is directly across the road from Hadrian's Gate, the memorial gate built in Gerasa (Jerash) in about 129 AD to celebrate the Emperor's visit. It is a simple, comfortable and extremely friendly and accommodating place to stay. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Ismael and Walid; they are always there to help.

Conveniently located across the road from Jerash ticket office, this hotel is spotless and offers good value for money. Price includes breakfast and then you just need to wake up at 8am to cross the road and go visit the spectacular Roman ruins.

We'll never forget our 24 hours in Jerash and Hadrian's & Walid are a huge reason why. Unfailingly friendly, quick with a cup of delicious Arab coffee or tea and an exceptional conversationalist we spent hours chatting at the hotel after our day at the ruins was over. The hotel: Location, unbeatable, right next to the reason you're in Jerash....

If you want to make a connection with people on your journeys (which for me is a key aspect of travelling), this place and its owners are charming. Ismael and his son Walid are genuinely happy you are there, and they almost seem a bit surprised even to see Western tourists, which can't be possible because of the many guests...

Since there didn't seem to be lots of places to stay in Jerash we were delighted to find this since it was already dark. It's a great location right across from the reason one visits Jerash. Everything is very clean and functional and they really made us feel welcome. While it was cold at night they gave us space heaters,...

We arrived in Jerash by bus from Amman and received a warm welcome from Walid who showed us to our triple room and offered us tea and coffee. It seems the hotel is run by his father and that he runs it on a day to day basis. We chose this hotel because it was right next to the magnificent...

We stayed for 5 nights here whilst visiting the Jerash ruins which are literally over the road . Rooms have good quality furnishings ie soft towels. Cold at night so great to have a heater in the room. Both Ismael and Walid (Father and Son )are thoughtful and free tea and coffee always offered when you come in . I...

There is a not much choice to stay at in Jerash but luckily this historical town has a gem of this bed and breakfast. Staff were very helpful and informative. We booked the upper floor suite, it is huge with a fantastic view of the ruins. Nice patio to have breakfast and a beverage! They have safe parking and staff...

A simple but very welcoming hotel, top quality bedding, towels etc, quality bathroom even a foot-spa, Walid and his father run their business like every business should be run, because they make so much effort, in a discrete way, to give 4* service. Perfect location, amazing views. We stayed 3 nights and found several excellent restaurants nearby, lebanese, seafood, buffet...
