The Avissar House is a true 3-D experience! The apartment is (centrally) located on a hill just outside the Old City wall, between Mt. Zion and the King David Hotel. The top floor (3 RB) apartment has a rooftop patio with a stunning view of the Old City. You simply couldn't find a better location. The owners, Yossi and Varda,...

Another wonderful stay in Avissar House and we cannot praise this beautiful place enough. The house has a lovely storybook feel to it, very idyllic and picturesque! It's a fantastic location from which to explore Jerusalem, as well as being comfortable and clean. Yossi is a wonderful host, so welcoming and hospitable, always on hand to help you, a really...

Avissar House is in the neighborhood of Yemin Moshe--the old city of Jerusalem on one side and the Bloomfield Park on the other. You can walk to almost anywhere from this location. The neighborhood is narrow brick streets on the side of a hill with red tile roofs and flowers, flowers, flowers everywhere. Avissar House is adorable. Two of the...

this place capitalize on its location in the best place in Jerusalem,, BUT.... come on... we need soap!.. the rooms were a drab, the beds uncomfortable , and the hot water tank was barely enough for one person's shower... the owner provided us with toilet paper and paper towls, and sort of clean linens, but no soap!

Yossi made the reservation process very easy by email and our Sultan Suite was ready on arrival. Our apartment -- bedroom with queen bed, living room with cot for our 5-year-old, small kitchen -- was a bit worn but completely functional and quite comfortable as a home base. The kitchen, even though it had a real mishmash of items, had...

I stayed in the 'Windmill' apartment for almost a month and really loved being there. Yemin Moshe is a beautiful, old neighbourhood. Quiet, pretty, exclusive and car-free. It is also very central. A quick bus ride to the centre of town and a 15min walk to the old city. There are also lots of nice restaurants and shopping within walking...

Yossi is a delight to work with. The rooms are quite Spartan, but the location is very close to the Old City. The quaint neighborhood is car free, and on a hill, so be prepared to climb some stairs. Opt for the Dream suite so you can enjoy the rooftop balcony overlooking the Ramparts and Mount Zion - remembering the...

Pros: The location is great, and it was in a quiet street., and we could walk right into the Old City and see all the sights easily. Cons: the shower curtain had black mold all over it and the place just didnt seem very clean. Also, we had to leave early to go home and it was just really awkward...

The view from the Dream of Jerusalem suite must be one of the most beautiful and moving in the world! Sunrise over the old city was truly worth getting up for. Everything was just so easy to get to, whether in the old or the new city. And Yossi proved to be a most discreet but helpful host who even...
