This little gem of a place has just enough character to keep things interesting! Our room was small but nicely appointed overlooking the side street. We were able to check in early thanks to the wonderful owner who was very genuinely hospitable and helpful. The walls are thin... so your experience could be more entertaining than you may have anticipated....

You can't get much better than this charming little place smacked in the middle of Jaffa St. Eli and Joystick make the hotel feel like you are staying at a family member's home. The new rooms on the top floor are awesome and the balcony gives it a European feel. Tips: don't take a huge suitcase like I did because...

OK. First, finding it. Look for a chemist with a big Vichy makeup sign at the corner. Turn up that side street and you'll see the sign for Kaplan Hotel. We had a few problems initially finding it, even though it's very central and 5mins from where the shuttle dropped us off. Eli, the owner, is a delight. He speaks...

This hotel is situated in the middle of the city with all the restaurants, pubs water pipe shop and old town withing the walking distance. The personnel was very friendly, he showed me the parking lot and because i did not have any Shekels with me he paid the parking fee at the spot. Then he showed us surrounding of...

The hotel has all the basic facilities, and its owner is a very nice person. One of the main - and finest - streets of Jerusalem where it is located can be noisy sometimes, and this is the only shortcoming I can consider as a worth mention. In short: a real bargain. 5 stars in my 'relative' scale.

The location is really good. Close to the busy part of Jerusalem and many stores nearby. On the Friday night that we arrived, it was very quiet and still. Nothing happening on the streets. That changed on the Saturday night! All of a sudden there was singing on the streets, all the shops opened and hordes of people walked everywhere....

The hotel owner met us with a fresh fruit plate and a great map of the area. He was open to questions, gave great suggestions, and helped with money exchange even. We loved being in the center of many places to visit. There were 4 of us in the room with just space enough to walk around the beds, but...

I can absolutely recommend this hotel, it's great value for money, simple but clean rooms with good air condition, great location right off zion square. Was given a lovely fruit platter to enjoy as well as cream as we where a little sun burnt from tel aviv beach. Bottle of water in room. Nice classical music playing on Friday afternoon. The Kaplan Hotel is a great place to stay in Jerusalem. It's small and basic but clean and friendly and you just cannot beat the location. It's right on Zion Square in the heart of downtown West Jerusalem just steps from dozens of bars, cafes, restaurants streetlife etc. And it's only a ten minute walk to the Old City in...
