I always go for a local hotel over the impersonal chain hotel anywhere in the world I travel for pleasure. Hence I was attracted by all the period and regional character of this hotel as seen in pictures. And indeed the hotel is in a old building, owned by a Palestinian family, decorated to make one feel as stepping back...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my son, and we both loved it. The room is spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable. Location is ideal, close to Damascus Gate. I would stay there again on my next visit to Jerusalem for sure.

I have stayed here before and will again . The hotel is located in a great location, a short walk from the Old City, it is super clean and the staff are really efficient and friendly . After a long trip from AUS and longest lines in immigration history at Ben Gurion Airport arrivals I slept in one of the...

Traveling in Jerusalem for the first time is an adjustment and arriving at this hotel was exactly that. The hotel is located close to old Jerusalem which is why we booked this hotel. The hotel itself is quite dark and not exactly what we thought it would be but after a couple of days it started to feel like home....

The location is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, upon walking into the rooms, my first thought was 'this place needs a good scrub'. From wires hanging from the ceiling and behind the television, dark, heavy embroidered bed covers (how often do they get cleaned?) to a small plastic shower tray that has seen better days,...

The Jerusalem Hotel is easy to find and there is off-street parking nearby. The hotel is near the Damascus Gate so very convenient for exploring the Old City while the New City is an easy walk away. The hotel is friendly with lots of charm and an historical feel to it. My room (208) was compact but comfortable & with...

Located conveniently opposite the bus station terminus for busses from Ramallah. Beautiful stone house with lots of character and charming comfortable bedroom. Staff polite and helpful. Restaurant very average. 5 minute walk to Damascus Gate into old Jersalem.

This us a very authentic and nice hotel if you want to avoid the bug rack rate hotels. The owners are very charming, the rooms tiny but welcoming. Be aware that the bed is made for people under 1.90m. You are a few steps away from the old town which is very convenient. Your car can be parked for free...

Full of character and atmosphere, with lovely rooms and a great restaurant/bar, this hotel is a gem. It is close to the Damascus Gate entry to the old city, so you can walk anywhere from here, including the wonderful Mahane Yehuda Market. The bus to the Mount of Olives is also close by. Lovely, lovely staff!

I was lucky to get a small, single room here on the day before Easter for the last night of a 2 week trip to the region. The hotel is conveniently situated just a block from Damascus gate, the tram and the bus station to Ramallah. The garden restaurant is heavenly - try their mint lemonade! It is the best...
