Although it takes a little walk from the Jaffa Gate through the Old City's stone passageways, the Lutheran G/H is an oasis in the middle of the bustling suk/market place. With an above-the-street garden patio and a rooftop view in every direction, this place is a reasonably priced, centrally located place to stay in Jerusalem.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the old part of Jerusalem. The best part is the lovely outdoor areas, intimate, open, nice garden, places for groups to sit with a great view over central parts of the old city. There is also a roof terrace with even a larger view. My room was small and faced the narrow walking street...

ACTUALLY...we haven't stayed there. However, I wanted to share a rate that I was quoted in late October, 2016. It was 95 euros/night including breakfast for my wife and me. According to their web site, our February, 2017 stay should be quoted at its lowest off season rate. If it fits your budget...looks like a terrific place.... :O)

We spent six nights at the Lutheran Guesthouse during a very hot week of July. We are nearly 70, but found that it was not overly difficult to tote our luggage through the city, and it was well worth the conveniences of the location. After exploring the Old City, it was ideal for us to be able to return to...

I stayed here for 6 weeks. It was a delightful stay. Great breakfast. The views from the guest house rooftop is magnificent. It is in easy access to Jaffa Gate or any other site you wishes to visit within the old city. The staff are overall very friendly and helpful. The only snag was that the larger tour groups can...

Just spent the last few days at Lutheran guesthouse and it was 100% worth it. The rate was good, good breakfast, easy location within the walls of the old city, rooms were extremely clean with wifi and the night view of the dome of the Rock was phenomenal. Definitely worth the stay would highly recommend!

Good: Fantastic location in the heart of the Old City, just a short walk from all the major holy sites. Gorgeous views of Dome of the Rock from the rooftop garden. Free, good breakfast buffet. Bad: The in-room wifi was not working. Getting your luggage to the hotel through the Old City can be difficult. We had a beautiful triple...

The guest house is located next to Jaffa Gate and perfect located within the historic town of Jersusalem (Armenian Quarter). The staff is very friendly, the breakfast buffet is basic but very satisfying. Rooms are tiny but acceptble, the roof top is outstanding with a view to the Dome of the rock. We've been here a couple of times and...

I stayed at the Lutheran Guest House for five nights in Easter week. My room was clean and quiet with a private bathroom. Breakfast at the guest house was good. The views from the terraces are very good. The guest house is in a good location, not far from Jaffa Gate. I had some trouble communicating with the guest house...

I have had several occasions staying in this wonderful guesthouse between Dec15 - Feb16, a haven especially away from the intensity of work and noise. The bookings manager (Nariman) and the staff (reception, catering and domestic) are very friendly and helpful. A good place for laundry services too. The breakfast is good and not rushed, with a good level of...
