We just stayed at the Beit Shmuel Guest House for a family barmitzvah. I can't comment on the price, as we didn't pay, but we had a great time. The food that we had for dinner and lunch which was catered in-house was truly delicious - far above what I expected. The room we had was nice - not luxury...

We had a family weekend and every aspect was taken care of! The rooms were great, the food was amazing. The staff, no words.... simply the nicest people ever! No request was too much for them to handle and all with a smile.

Hotel is very close to old city. Hotel is also close to the Jewish market. You can go both places easily. Hotel rooms are very big and confortable. Hotel personnel are very kind and helpful. I recommend Beit Shumel hotel to everyone.

This guest house has a wonderful location! It is within Walking distance to the Old City, and in the heart of all that is going on. We stayed here during the sukot holiday and were so pleased! We paid the extra price and stayed in the hotel style room...well worth it as we were not in Jerusalem to lounge at...

Excellent localization, excellent Shabat Dinner, excellent infra structure, and excellent in all aspects regarding a hostel. I strongly recommend staying on this hostel in a travel to Jerusalem. Very close to Mamilla St and to Jaffa Gate.

The Beit Shmuel House located near the King David Hotel and the YMCA in Jerusalem serve multiple functions: it is a pleasant, small non expensive Hotel with a garden and a magnificent view of Jerusalem from its terrace. It is also a cultural meeting place where Lectures, Music and Theater performances take place frequently and recently opened a cinema for...

We had been invited to a wedding and Bar Mitzah by Jewish friends of long standing. We were given a spacious , clean hotel room with good en suite bathroom. Nice breakfast and all staff were friendly , efficient and helpful. The location is good within walking distance of many of the attractions of Jerusalem. There is also a hostel...

My lady and I were told about Beit Shmuel by a friend to whom we now owe a debt -- or a good dinner. We had a hostel room that would accommodate, I think, six. No frills. Very comfortable -- ours had a postcard view of the old city. No pool -- who needs it? No spa -- So what?...

Essentially a youth hostel, noisy and a bit grimy. Good breakfast, very well located. A group of teens may love this but was not for our family. We tried to move elsewhere on the last night but they refused to refund money. They did give us better hotel styled room that was much cleaner but still very very noisy as...

“Currently there is a large building site between the hotel and the old city. You may get some noise in the morning, and don't forget, if you are not Jewish, Sunday is a normal working day!”

“Not sure if it's worth paying extra for a renovated hostel room - they don't seem that much nicer than what I remember the regular hostel rooms looking like.”

“Make sure you're booking the HOTEL and not the hostel or guest house. Apparently, there is room for confusion on this point. And if you want any of the offered discounts, contact the hotel directly rather than using the "Booking by Click" link on the website.”
