To sleep over, to meet some cool people, or just to stop by - if you are in Jerusalem I highly recommend stopping by the Heritage House. Requirements: a sense of humor, an ability not to take yourself too seriously, and the ability to not get easily offended. The guys are absolutely great. They have amazing activities. Stayed there a little while back and had an amazing time. You could not get a better location. And the manager knows everything you could ever want to know about Israel. And he gives free tours! Thanks for everything Packer. -Evan

Aside from good accommodations, this hostel is located in the heart of the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. The host, Rabbi Ben Packer, is glad to recommend travel activities, and even provide hosts for meals if need be. Rabbi Ben Packer is incredible. He operates the Heritage House which is a great place for young travelers to stay. There is a men's house and a women's house. I stayed here a few nights while visiting friends in Jerusalem over Sukkot. It was a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Ben gives an awesome tour of the old city...

The floors were a bit dirty and the young traveler's luggage strewn about, but the bathrooms were clean, there was an overhead fan, the bunks were comfortable with clean sheets blanket and pillow, there were plug-ins for hair dryers an iron and ironing board, and a small library as well as food to knosh on, in the kitchen, with coffee,...

We organize and lead exciting hands on in-depth tours of the entire Old City of Jerusalem, Hevron, Shilo and many more important places of tremendous historical, political and religious significance not included in your standard tours. Additionally, we provide Shabbat and holiday programming, featuring home-cooked meals with local families, beginner services, and general explanations of Jewish customs and practices.
