This hotel is old and run down. Costumer service is very poor. The rooms are small and not very clean. It is near the central bus station and very, very loud with street noise! Our air conditioning wasn't working and finally after asking for assistance...More
My sister and I recently returned to the Jerusalém Gold Hotel for our fourth visit, in September.
After a break of 2 years and the problems that have occurred during those years we wondered if things in the Hotel had changed. However on our arrival we...More
The service was appalling, particularly by the front desk person, Nassir, who was extremely rude! We called multiple times (during our 3 night stay) regarding a constant loud noise coming from the bathroom, no one ever came to take a look or explain what was...More
It's difficult to write anything particularly favourable about this place. The reception staff/restaurant staff were all male with the absolute minimum customer service helpfulness. I got caught up with the Yom Kippur weekend and nothing, absolutely nothing was open. The hotel was taken over en-mass...More
Located close to the bus station, at the beginning of Jafa St. good location to visit the city but rooms are little bit nosy. Wi-Fi works properly. The shower has too hot water. Rooms are clean and price ok.

I'm not sure about their dinner package but if it is anything like the breakfast don't book the package (unless you're kosher and have a lot of money to spend) there is a grocery store behind the hotel as well as several restaurants. If you walk 10 minutes there is maheme yahuda for food or you can jump on the train behind the hotel to old city. There are plenty of easy and affordable dinner options.

Nothing is open on Friday evening until sundown, the following Saturday in Jerusalem. It is Shabbat. Well, almost nothing. You can google a list of restaurants and tourists sites open during those hours. At the Gold I think you can reserve the special Shabbat luncheon on Saturday. No vending machines at the Gold, no coffee or tea on Saturday.
