Staying at the King David is a one-of-a-kind experience! The history, the elegance, the location and views (especially on the old city side!) are unparalleled. The "extras" in our suite made us feel so pampered, and the main dining hall breakfasts and Shabbat dinner were among our favorite experiences in Israel! Service was superb (especially Hany, who knew how to...

Wanted to have a drink and lunch to look over hotel for possible future visit -security guard said no and leave as hotel was "fully booked" We were properly dressed but hotel had religious groups taking over the entire hotel and others not welcome.. However, web site offered room vacancies, so evidently hotel can turn into private club when it...

So friendly, so helpful, and a most beautiful room. Supposedly our room (632) was the one in which Anwar Sadat once stayed... georgeous, very roomy, and with a great view of the west wall. The breakfast buffet deserves special mention: It was excellent (of course not so much on shabat)

Several nights here to finish trip. Upgraded to a small suite, on lower floor though. Dignitaries visiting, so armed security very visible and breakfast buffet crowded with same. Hotel staff indifferent, had trouble managing a spa appointment. Clearly hotel staff accustomed to security for important guests. Don't expect special service as a regular paying customer. Close to several good restaurants,...

.....….that you are in for a rough ride when you arrive at the King David. Nobody says anything that could remotely be regarded as a pleasantry or greeting. The words ‘Good evening’ ‘Good morning’ ‘Please’ and ‘Thank-you’ have been erased from the vocabularies of the dour, dull, resentful, disobliging and thoroughly charmless staff – every single one of them. The...

Dear Mike H, We were very disappointed to read of your negative experience whilst staying with us at the King David Hotel, especially because your opinion is at polar opposites with our commitment to staff training and the experiences of the vast majority of other guests who regularly review their stay with us. We are extremely taken aback by your...

This hotel is a state of mind an institution. If you visit Jerusalem you must spend at least one night here in a room with a view of the old city..when the blinds are drawn and there before you is th W. WALL, you know you're not in Kansas Toto! The breakfast is outstanding as is their room service

We stayed at the King David for five nights while touring Jerusalem. The hotel's history is very interesting and it is beautiful in a classic, formal way. Our room was large but needed some updating. The bathroom was very inconvenient. The shower doors leaked water all over the floor and there was little counter space. However, the turndown service was...
