Very social, big hostel full of young people socializing. It was well located, close to the Jerusalem old town and some nice restaurants and bars around. The area is very safe and front desk personnel is friendly and helpful. The social area had pool tables and big couches to seat and relax. Beds are not so comfortable but staying there...

It was during the Christmas period that I stayed here and there are both good points and not such good points about this place and we had a private room. This Hostel is quite expensive for what you get though this is Jerusalem, the room was a bit grotty though clean enough and it is a good 20 walk to...

Very nice staff, ready to help and solve every problem :) There's a nice bar and lobby with billards. In the evening concerts etc. In the kitchen there's free coffee, tea and sometimes something to eat. Nice breakfast included in the price, maybe to few eggs and we had to wait half an hour to eat some :( Free Wi-Fi.

I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at Abraham's Hostel and the staff had a big part in creating that. Great location, walking distance to Old City. I am in my 50's and although most travelers were obviously younger, I did meet many of my vintage. Great food as well.

I was so delighted about my staying at Abraham hostel over 10 days. With its location on Jaffa Street, you may find it quite convenient to travel around by Tram or on foot. In my own case, I walked through the street up to the old city almost everyday. There is an old local market nearby where you may want...

As well as the hostel of the same chain in Tel Aviv, the quality and the cleanliness of this hostel is very good. Maybe slightly more expensive (per night) than the same hostel in Tel Aviv. Position close (15 minutes by foot) to the Damascus door.

My 23 year old daughter and I (age 62) stayed 2 nights here, and if we weren't joining a tour today, we'd gladly stay longer. Shabbat meal, Sunrise Masada tour were the 2 reasons I booked, both great.

My first time staying here, after years of visiting Israel. I got a single room with bath for about $75 per night. Includes typical Israeli breakfast with piles of vegetables, eggs, oranges, and coffee of all kinds. My room was quiet, roomy, comfortable. Wonderful location off Jaffa Road and near the Old City.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
