The most intense experience of Jerusalem is to be had in the Old City itself. The sense of connectedness to the city’s God-inspired past is felt most vividly by staying in a house of pilgrimage. Ecce Homo guest-house—attached to the convent of the sisters of Our Lady of Zion—is such a place, with the additional advantage of actually occupying one...

This convent was part of our tour of the holy land. The beds are comfortable. The food is delicious. And, all is very cost-effective for those of us on a budget. It's situated right on the Via Dolorosa too, where Jesus carried is cross to Golgotha. There are also marvelous views from their wonderful patio deck!

A former convent and then exclusive girls school until the intifada. Now the mid 19th century 5 storey labarynthan complex in Muslim quarter of the old city is a pilgrim house providing accommodation for those who wish to come and see, sit, ponder and/ or just feel the history and complexity that is old Jerusalem today Magnificent views over the old...

The ideal place to stay in the Old Town. This beautiful old building is in the Muslim part right at the Via Dolorosa not far from Damascus Gate. The rooms are convenient, the breakfast is simple and there is a nice common room where you can make yourself some coffee or tea. The best is the view on the Old...

I stayed here for 2 nights and I love the place as it's peaceful and quiet central as it is in the old city. It's also a very good price for $35 for a dormitory box with buffet breakfast included. You actually have your own bed an sink with curtains that divides you from the other guests also. The shower...

May, 2016 we spent three nights at Eccfe Homo, with breakfasts and dinners. The food was delicious! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great location in the heart of the old city. Reasonable rates. Rooms somewhat plain (this is not the Ritz decor) but comfortable and clean. No AC, but not needed with the thick stone walls of...

Had lunch here when our holy land tour group were doing the Via Dolorosa walk. Great food and service from the nuns and their many volunteers. Spectacular views from their roof gardens over all of the inner walls of the City. A haven in the middle of the very bustling streets of Jerusalem.

I stayed for a week at Ecce Homo pilgrim guest house and can happily recommend it. It is excellent value for money, serves good food, with attentive staff/volunteers. It is located in the heart of the Old City and has superb views from the roof terrace. The rooms are a bit spartan but clean and comfortable. It is suitable for...

Quiet and peaceful--and very clean--within the center of the Muslim Quarter in the Old City in Jerusalem; just as I expected. Food very plain, very simple. Bedding comfortable. Bathrooms old-fashioned but toilets flush and water runs from spigots, so nothing to complain about (except the odor of sewer gas emanating from toilet). Towels are provided. Within walking distance of ever...

I spent three nights in the female dorm. The location was great, being that you're in the Old City and near shops and restaurants. It's close to Damascus gate and about a15 minute walk from Jaffa gate. It's this a bit further from the tram and other destinations in town, but if you're primarily focused on the Old City, it's...
